Priceline - Tampa area?

Anyone have any luck using Priceline in the Tampa area?

What hotel did ya get?

Any hints?

When we cruise out of Tampa, we always stay at the Holiday Inn on Rocky point Dr. They have a cruise package with a shuttle. I just book with them directly.

We've done Priceline in the past, both times picked downtown. Once got the Courtyard & once the Sheraton Riverwalk. Both great places with port shuttles. Taxi ride was about $25 to get to hotels but once you're there they take care of you. Good luck & we'll see you in January!!

Either of the above hotels are excellent. Another one that I've been told is good, and VERY close to the port is Hampton Inn & Suites, 1301 E 7th Ave, Tampa. Another less expensive option is Tahitian Inn, 601 S. Dale Mabry, Tampa. This is an older property, but recently renovated, and in an excellent location, about half way between the airport, and the Port. My family stayed there recently, when we did a family cruise, and they were very happy with the accommodations, the service, and the price. ;)

You sailed in June - the OP is sailing in January (peak tourist season) and will pay a lot more than $85 for a comparable hotel.
