bobbyfk Posted December 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2014 I apologize in advance if this question has already been discussed. Me and my wife are leaving on our honeymoon today on the Norwegian Star calling at Cabo San Lucas, Mazalan and Purto Vaira. What would you recommend as a good Mexican restaurant that's fairly easy to get to from the port? We do not have any shore excursions planned so we are free in all three ports. Since we do not have any shore excursions planned what do you guys recommend as some cool places to check out? We both like to shop and eat and are not too big on nightclubs or night life. we were just planning on walking around and doing some shopping and exploring on our own. Thank you so much Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Forums mobile app
MSN-Travelers Posted December 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2014 If you are looking for your basic Tex-Mex, then you will find it in any restaurant that you walk into. If you're looking for good Mexican food, then you have to understand that all food is local. Mazatlan is known for shrimp and lobster dishes. That is what is caught locally. Puerto Vallarta is known for dorado (Mahi-mahi) and red snapper. Not sure what Cabo is known for other than hang overs. For Vallarta . . . I believe Star sails at 5 PM so that pretty much limits you to lunch. You can get a good meal at: Daiquiri Dick's http://mdi.ddpv.com/ The Blue Shrimp http://www.theblueshrimp.com/english/ La Palapa http://www.lapalapapv.com/ Si Senor Beach http://sisenorbeach.com/english/ Regular stops for the recurring visitors . . . SadieN Posted December 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2014 In Cabo On the Marina Solomon's Landing is very good. A few blocks into town we like Taco Loco. It's located in front of Cabo Wabo.

I spend many months in PV and that is one of my favourite lunch (or dinner) spots. It is facing the ocean and is right next to lots of good shopping. Gallivanting Souls Posted January 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2015 For Mazatlán very close to the cruise port before getting back on ship we tried LA Puntilla. Check out my review on Tripadvisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g150792-d1032698-r251544515-Mariscos_La_Puntilla-Mazatlan_Pacific_Coast.html#REVIEWS
