Barwick Cruiser Posted December 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2014 We'll be arriving in Miami the day before our embarkation on the Eclipse in Feb and are staying at the Embassy Suites. Is there somewhere near the hotel that we can purchase a bottle or two to bring onboard the next day? If not, anywhere near the port dropoff? Our hotel package includes shuttle to the hotel from MIA as well as shuttle to the port the next day so no chance of getting a cab to stop along the way. JohninDC Posted December 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Nothing within walking distance - either cab to/from a store or maybe the hotel shuttle will take you & pick you up.
Barwick Cruiser Posted December 21, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 21, 2014 K, thanks John. Any idea whether there's a liquor/wine store in the terminal before boarding?
coops Posted December 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2014 They will take you to a store within 5 miles of hotel to get supplies. They did that for us last year. We tipped the driver taking us.

realtrip Posted December 22, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2014 We walked to a small liquor/wine store and to a gas station / convenience store for soda and water. The wine / liquor place was near the Burger King/ pollo tropical. Less than a mile. Ok to walk during the day but a small part of the way didn't have a sidewalk, so I wouldn't go at night. The shuttle ( ask front desk) will drive you to the Walgreens or cvs and they brought us to the Kmart in little Havana. It was free and quick. JohninDC Posted December 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2014 K, thanks John. Any idea whether there's a liquor/wine store in the terminal before boarding? There is nothing in the POM terminals as far as shopping - for liquor, wine, soda, water or anything else. :(

Sorry took long to get back to you. Yes we took hotel shuttle. Just went to the greeters outside and asked them and they took us over to nearest store and we told them we would be ready for pick up in 15 mins. No problem at all.
