Forchunut1 Posted December 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2014 Just wondering if anyone has gone on their own to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island? It sounds very cool and more of a locals hangout than the major tourist beaches on St. Thomas. If you've been there, how long does it take to get to the ferry at Crown Bay from where the ship is docked? I read the ferry is $10 each way and the beach is a 10 minute walk from the ferry dock. Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The ferry is quite small and picks you up right outside a restaurant at the nearby marina. The ride cost $10 each way like you said and beautiful! Honeymoon beach was fantastic. There were two small bars there and a snack shack. We had a blast of a day... You can also rent golf carts on the island, I highly recommend! Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted December 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Yes I went there, but it was over 5 years ago...it was not busy at all then, but I've heard that it can get quite crowded now that many people know about it. It's a nice beach, but part of the appeal was definitely that it was secluded and quiet. Might not be the case anymore.
Forchunut1 Posted December 30, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks for the info. There are only two ships in port the day we are there which is amazing, so it might be worth a try. Does anyone know how long of a taxi ride it is from Havensight to the ferry at Crown Bay?
