snowyboy Posted January 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2015 When joining a ship which you spend first night in port, when do they hold the Muster Drill please.
Xport Posted January 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2015 But in my experience, muster drill is conducted an hour or so prior to sail-away--rather than on embarkation day--under the circumstances you describe... When a cruise starts with an in-port overnight, embarking passengers are typically a bit more relaxed about being aboard by a certain time or, if flights are necessary to reach the embarkation port, a bit more casual about arrival time than they might otherwise be... And then, consecutive cruisers--who still must attend muster after doing so on the prior sailing--often use the turn-around day for touring... fla742 Posted January 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2015 Was in this situation and had previously unannounced MANDATORY Muster Drill at 5pm on the day we boarded - really fouling up our tour schedule. Don't know what X does, but would like to hear it directly from them.

GUT2407 Posted January 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Normally the 2nd day it seems, but as I've learned cruises are all different and just when you think you can say something for certain they go and change it on you.
