On the GEM CTNs, you get all the perks, including the VIP boarding in the Suite area and access to Cagneys.

On the BA CTNs, we don't get VIP boarding in the Suite area or the Cagneys. You do get all the other Golden perks that are still available.

Isn't there a CAS line at NYC terminal? Or does Breakaway use a different terminal?? You can see I don't know much...I just booked two days ago...for 1/16 and 1/30....

I have always used a CAS line for boarding....I really don't care about being brought to a little room with pastries and coffee.....I just want to get on the ship!!!!

It is the same for boarding for the GEM and BA. You use the CAS line. The difference is that on the GEM, after they process you, you get the VIP perks of the little room to the side, the escort to Cagneys, etc... On the BA, you get to be in the next group on-board after the suite passengers, but that's it.

Hi Cathy! My name is Gretchen. I will probably run into you! I like to play the slot machines in the smoking section by the craps table. The quick hits there are the 2 cent ones I believe. I usually run from those to the Deal or No Deal.

I usually like the GEM casino, but that's only because they have Banana King. I have the BA casino to be generous enough to keep on playing.

I like those machines also, they were the Chinese machines with lots of spins in the bonus rounds. I also play right behind the crap table the orb machines, I have done well on those.

Well then you will see a familiar face on 1/30.....hey I know you....lol (I am booked on all 3 of the 2 nighters).

Did either of you get the mailer this week for the casino wave freebie? I am gonna book the Gem for that one, it comes with the freestyle promo. I ran out of future cruise credits so I will pick one up this weekend and book next week. I also prefer the Gem casino, I have almost always won in that casino......can't say that about the breakaway.

Yeah I used the website to read the fine print, they print it so small but I had called to book another cruise and they told me I had the comp but I decided to hold that and book another. It doesn't matter if your son threw it out the comp is registered to you all you have to do is call and book it, CAS has the records

Me too....hit a jackpot on the Gem at 2:00am as we were returning to NY on the Gem. We were so close to land that they had to give me the $$$$ and then allowed me 20 minutes to play......I got lucky with that otherwise I probably would have put another 500 or more back in:)

And it was a quick hits:)

So how does that work with the FCR and the CAS or Junket booking? They let you use it for the takes and fees? and upgrades?

We are definitely going to light up the casino!!!!! I have a really good feeling despite what some say about this casino....its good some weeks bad others....but it can't be bad every week.....WE HAVE TO BRING THE LUCK!!!!!!!!

I thin they moved them after I won....I'm sure they are the same machines.......

I win on every cruise...I don't come out ahead....but I do win:) lol

Only one cruise I hit absolutely nothing......on Celebrity. I just really like winning the first night so the rest of the cruise feels better......

I hate having to pull a rabbit out of the hat at 2:00 am as we are heading for the Hudson.......it was my own miracle on the Hudson!!!!!!! Because that hit saved the whole trip.

I can't wait! I will probably be wearing some long sweater outfit with knee-high black boots.

I am also looking to book the Feb cruise if there is still room.

That might be a let down though. My new reservation yesterday for the mini-suite got changed automatically again- this time to a full suite! :) :D I can't wait to check out the Haven- even if it is only for two days.

Hi guys, I haven't cruised NCL in a long time and was wondering how the casino works? Do I need to go and get a card from the casino desk or can I just use my cabin key card? Can I take out money with that also? Is there a fee to do so?

Thanks in advance :D

Do you book through a junket or direct with CAS? I think I remember you saying junket....did the junket call for you? My junket is useless......

I do book through a junket. They are awesome folks. They called for me and kept on top of things until it got settled. They even called me when they notice NCL switched me out again to the suite. I use them for all my cruises and trips to Vegas.

Hi- if you booked through CAS you should have your player's card waiting for you in the room. If not, I suggest marching to the casino first thing and getting a players card.

On the BA, you use the player's card in the machine. I think the room card works too, but I don't use it because the player's card is also my drink card. If you are new, and not through CAS, you probably have to earn some points before you get a free drink card.

You can download money from your room charge straight to the machine. There is a 3% fee to do so.
