serene56 Posted January 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) Depends on where you are going what ship are you sailing - and what month I have yet to sail a carnival ship that changed time to reflect island time what you see in your intinerary is the hours. if your ship is sailing from FL you stay on ship time-- some of those islands are one hour ahead of Miami time wear a watch We are on SPlendor for February 8th will report back so watch for me after the 15th Edited January 15, 2015 by serene56
Namelocg Posted January 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. If the ships time and the port time are NOT the same make sure you stay on ships time and DO NOT use electronic devices (phone, iPad, ect) to track the time because they will automatically adjust themselves to port time. A2Mich Posted January 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2015 We've had to change times on every Carnival cruise we've been on Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
mistycruiser Posted January 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2015 We've rarely had time changes on our 20 cruises on Carnival. Usually it stays with whatever time the embarkation port time was. In Alaska and South America we had time changes but that's the only instances I remember.

k2excursion Posted January 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2015 15 cruises, and we have never changed ship time to match port time. On my last cruise, we started in a different port (and different time zone) than we ended, so we did end up going back 1 hour. And on another cruise, it was during the daylight savings switch, so we went back 1 hour on that night, which oddly put us an hour behind 2 of our ports. If we waited to switch, we would have been equal to those ports. I had a cruise where all 4 ports had a different time than ship time, and 2 ports were 2 hours behind us, and we still never changed times. So basically, it's very rare for Carnival to change times just to match the port times, but it does happen sometimes. Whatever ship time is, that is when you need to be back to port. But sometimes, when planning independent excursions (not through the ship), you must know what the port time is and make the adjustment. The ferries & the times for things on the islands will not adjust to your ship's time.
