KerriL Posted January 18, 2015 #29 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I see Carnival conquest has left Miami for Ft Lauderdale which will be her new home port. Left Miami at 12:30 and I think they have embarkation at 4:30 at Port Everglades. Here she comes...

Krazy Kruizers Posted January 18, 2015 #36 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I wonder how they will be able to turn around in under 2 hours? I imagine that the crew was working all the time between leaving Miami and coming to Ft Lauderdale. I wonder if she took on supplies in Miami or if they will be loaded on in Ft Lauderdale? Rare rafinmd Posted January 18, 2015 #39 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I wonder how they will be able to turn around in under 2 hours? I think departure is listed for 21:00. I expect stewards were also very busy on the transfer from Miami. Roy

sandij Posted January 18, 2015 #41 Share Posted January 18, 2015 NO, I just know I'll be on her in three weeks. I think they did some port switching with the Freedom and Conquest and one other. Is interesting watching her berth, I don't usually get up early enough to see them come in/

PathfinderEss Posted January 18, 2015 #43 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Good afternoon Copper and the rest our addicts group from sunny southern California, another day in paradise. And I thought backing out of my 700' long driveway was tough! Well, daughter's fiance is on bridge today...will definitely be here for sail away.:) We'll be looking for him. Thanks for the heads up! For us at least, both vessels are in perfect alignment. It's an absolutely gorgeous day for sail away. Thanks for the great picture POA. Why is the Conquest coming in so late? We'll be looking for him. Thanks for the great picture POA. Why is the Conquest coming in so late? It's changing home ports. Discharged passengers in Miami and deadhead to Port Everglades. With PVSA it had to either do that or visit a distant foreign port. Roy

Only reason I knew about it was we were friends with the piano player that was on board and he told us thats what they did. Wish I could remember what ship, I'm thinking it was the Zaandam. Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 18, 2015 Author #50 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I wonder how they will be able to turn around in under 2 hours? POA, question please; That open field east of the 17th St bridge that's now showing on the SW (FL) cam, was there something (a structure) there before or has that been vacant for a while? Thanks!
