VenusLady Posted January 19, 2015 #53 Share Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Maybe they are waiting for the forklift guy to take the gang plank away Edited January 19, 2015 by VenusLady
twindaddy Posted January 19, 2015 #54 Share Posted January 19, 2015 What a terrible way to end your cruise. I hope everything turns out well for them. On another note, did anyone else think that towdriver was crazy? I thought for sure he was going to run that one guy over. I literally sucked in my breath watching that. No kidding. I drove a forklift for many years working a a Target distribution center, after a few days of driving, it is very easy and you can do it without thinking. Maybe he is not used to this situation, or is new? When I was on the Disney Wonder in Ketchikan, they had a giant gangway, that guy put it right in place on the first try. He does it everyday many times a day, I wonder what this guys issue was.

wolfcathorse Posted January 19, 2015 #56 Share Posted January 19, 2015 maybe they got word that the patient is fine and the hospital is sending her back to the ship....
Retired LEO Posted January 19, 2015 #57 Share Posted January 19, 2015 I'm sure someone from the ship is with the family and they're waiting for him/her to get back. I don't think that they would just dump them off at the pier and just leave.
Rare rafinmd Posted January 19, 2015 #58 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Does anyone know if the pilot was onboard when this happened or did he have to return to the ship for the reentry? Roy
Rare Lionesss Posted January 19, 2015 #59 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Wow Prayers to the person who was taken off the ship and to the family. Hope all turns out ok. Safe travels
wolfcathorse Posted January 19, 2015 #60 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Doesn't look like they are in any hurry to leave... where did you see Grandeur's bow? Carnival Facination is blocking her view
twindaddy Posted January 19, 2015 #61 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Does this remind anyone else of their workplace? It sure looks like mine... One or two people working (including crazy forklift guy), and 15 managers standing around looking important. Some things are the same all over the world. Mr305 Posted January 19, 2015 Author #63 Share Posted January 19, 2015 I would say on board, the ship left the port, did a 180 and came right back in.

Clarea Posted January 19, 2015 #72 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Bob - can I bring a small clothes steamer onboard Oasis? It's against the rules, but frequently allowed. Be prepared to have it held until the end of the cruise.
