surfjock27 Posted January 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Thanks in advance for any help.. We currently have a cruise booked on the Breeze for December 2015. Some friends of ours decided they MAY want to take a cruise on the Dream in November 2015. Would we be able to change reservations from one ship to another, and what penalties would incur? serene56 Posted January 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2015 depends-- if you booked early saver rate it will cost you 50 bucks plus the added deposit to switch ships. 200. pp of that money will be used towards final payment
Moxie75 Posted January 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2015 We did this... We were booked on the Magic out of Galveston in February but changed to the dream out of New Orleans in March. We were booked on a casino rate and did this before final payment so it cost us nothing.. Our PVP took care of everything....

If you're booked Early Saver you'll have to pay $50pp penalty and the rest of your deposit will be applied to the balance (not the deposit) of the alternative cruise. If you're booked any of the Promo rates like Past Guest, Military, Resident..... then as long as you make the change prior to your Final Payment deadline, there should be no charge. ken
S.S.Oceanlover Posted January 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2015 I have had luck in the past when I did the same thing while booked ES by canceling and rebooking on the same phone call and the remaining deposit was used as a deposit towards the other cruise. We had to pony up the $100 they charged us for the administrative fee for changing. If not booked ES it will be no charge to you OP. Bill
cruizinisthebest Posted January 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2015 We switched an early saver booking just a couple of months ago. There was a $50 per person administrative fee to do the change, but the only thing we had to pay was the difference in the deposit (after the $50 each was deducted) in going from a 7-day to an 8-day. And one of the cabins had already paid beyond their deposit so there was nothing additional for them to pay at all.
