trvlgirlmq Posted January 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2015 It costs a lot more to fly into/out of Athens from the US than many other cities so that may hurt them unless a larger European demographic books.

Rare talkorpi Posted January 22, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Deck plans: http://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/Ships/VS/DeckPlans/Vista-Deck-Plan-PDFpdf After looking at deckplans, it's safe to say that they pulled a Sunshine and crammed in the cabins. Excited to see everything come to life, though!
Velvetwater Posted January 22, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) You can ferry to Athens from Italy.... The ferry itself is quite pricey though. It leaves from Bari or near there and South Italy has less planes flying to it. If the cruise goes for Athens to Barcelona it will probably go back and forth alternating some Greek routes so some will be going from Barcelona. Also, if you have your eye on the one from Trieste (the first cruise) flights to Venice and Milan will suffice then a high speed train to Trieste should be quick. Love it! tncap Posted January 22, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted January 22, 2015 They are available now on travel agent sites. Carnival will have theirs up directly shortly. I'm sure their web traffic is through the roof right now.

Velvetwater Posted January 22, 2015 #19 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Did mock booking as we want to the 12 day in August. Going to wait a while as the UK site does not give you early savers. We love the look of the Havana cabins with the private pool but hate the thought of people walking past it and the noise at night....its a shame one whole pool is private but thats the only negative I think....also a little bit miffed about the Italy heavy cruises....as much as I love Italy I have been there a lot now. Will probably book our first Cove when the price drops.
