Raxter54 Posted January 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2015 We will be in NOLA the Friday evening before we sail on the Serenade. We're staying at the Four Points Sheraton at Bourbon and Toulouse. We've narrowed our choices down to Pat O'Brians (half block away), Antoine's, and Broussards, all within walking distance. Anyone have experience with any of these restaurants, or have an opinion/suggestion? Probably have to make a decision in a day or two so we can book a reservation. Thanks in advance for your thoughts...
Ckrewz Posted January 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Without hesitation I say Broussard's of those three.
SOMEBEECH Posted January 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2015 We go to Red Fish which is located at 115 Bourbon St.. It is next to the Crown Plaza Hotel. For the food and service compared to the price it is unbeatable. Im from Florida and am seafood snobbish, and RedFish probably has some of the best seafood I have ever had. Verti Posted January 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) I second Red Fish Grill if you are open to a different option. We were in New Orleans for a week in November and ate there three times. Their BBQ oysters were so good! Edited January 29, 2015 by Verti
ellieanne Posted January 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2015 My vote would go for Antoine's. It's a classic New Orleans restaurant and definitely worth the experience. My favorite restaurant in the French Quarter is Galatoire's, but Antoine's is a close second.
tallyho8 Posted January 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) It depends on what you are looking for. Antoine's, Broussard's and Galatoire's are all world class 4 star restaurants with Galatoire's being in the $70 range and Antoine's and Broussard's being in the $50 range and all quite dressy. Red Fish Grill is a 3 star casual restaurant in the $30 range but very good. Pat O'Brien's is very casual in the $20 range and is best known for their bars with their world famous Hurricane drink with a Margaritaville atmosphere. Raxter54 Posted January 31, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Thanks to everyone for your replies. I finally decided on The Court Of Two Sisters, which is only a block away. Requested courtyard seating, so I hope it won't be raining that night :)
