Safety Squirrel Posted February 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Hi. Is there a cafe al bacio on the Summit? Thanks I was on the Summit in September 2014 -- great pastries:D which are free. I am not a coffee drinker; however they had some great teas which I drank. I had the premium non-alcoholic beverage package so did not have to pay. Next trip -- will go down to see what they offer for breakfast
monicajay Posted February 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Yes, DH went every morning to get good coffee. Much better than the room service stuff. Well, in my opinion anyway. ;)

Champagne Cruiser Posted February 1, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) The regular and chocolate croissants are also very good. In the afternoon try the fresh brewed instantly chilled tea. I loved it so much that when I came hone I bought the glass carafes to make it. Now, of course, I have to wait until warm weather to use it. Iced tea in Ct in Jan/Feb is too icy! We took our coffees up to the Spa Cafe at the Solarium pool. It as very peaceful and perfect if you want a light breakfast. Edited February 1, 2015 by Champagne Cruiser
davekathy Posted February 1, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 1, 2015 In the afternoons when I'd walked by there I would always get a chocolate chip cookie.
funinthesun86 Posted February 2, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2015 One of our absolutely favorite parts of our Celebrity cruise! We stopped several times a day for coffee. And loved the iced tea, too!
colombiangirl Posted February 2, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 2, 2015 The hubby and I would go every night, he for a hazelnut coffee, I liked the espresso or the special teas. The desserts were yummy.

midwestchick Posted February 3, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 3, 2015 I'm hoping for a decent American type cup of coffee. I find cruise ship coffee to be quite strong. I love Starbucks morning blend. We ate lunch in cafe al bacio and usually had soda with our meal. I loved it on the Silhouette. Looking forward to lunch there on sea days. amibelle Posted February 3, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 3, 2015 I love the Americana in Cafe al Bacio. Hopefully you do too. if you find it to strong ask them to just put in 1/2 the espresso next time (I don't know if they put 1 or 2 shots in)

monicajay Posted February 4, 2015 #20 Share Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Do you know what type of pastries they had in the morning? thanks As you can see from the pictures others have posted, some look pretty yummy. That's why I sent DH, he always came back with just coffee. Even on holiday I can't imagine starting my day with something that rich. On the coffee front, I get an Americano with an extra shot of expresso. Edited February 4, 2015 by monicajay

Not all the items are rich.....look at the bottom....if I am not mistaken, one item is bannana bread......but I understand what you mean;) The cakes on the top are a bit much for the morning:)
