lesarn Posted February 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2015 When you go to stingray city, what do you do with your camera and money that you have with you? We're taking excursion from royal Caribbean. Thanks!!!
GTO-Girl Posted February 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2015 When we went we had no problems leaving our things on the boat under the watchful eye of one of the people in charge of the excursion. We were impressed with the whole experience!
Jimmers Posted February 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2015 It's been some years since we did Stingray City but as I recall there were two stops on our excursion. The first was near a reef or rock breaker where we snorkeled and actually got to touch a nurse shark and moray eel which was pretty cool. The second stop wasn't too far away and there we waded in shallow water with the stingrays. On that stop we took our point and shoot with us and were able to get some great pictures. You only need to bring enough cash to tip the crew and if you're worried about leaving it on the boat, get yourself a waterproof carrier for it. You would definitely want some type of waterproof camera for the snorkeling part of the excursion and it wouldn't be a bad idea for the stingray part also though as I said a point and shoot worked fine for us. JoeRum Posted February 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Instead of doing an RCCL tour to stingray city in Feb 2014 we went with Ebanks watersports and jet skied to Starfish beach and stingray city. It was a blast! If you like to ride jet skis I would highly recommend it. We are going back in Feb 2016. They do have a secure place to lock up your belongings. Have a great cruise!
