How early could we be at the airport in Copenhagen?

Recommended Posts

We are on HAL's Noordam Baltic Cruise, arriving back in Copenhagen on 11 Aug. The itinerary says arrival is at 7am. Is it insanity to try to make a 10 am flight out of the Copenhagen airport? We are continuing on to Paris for a couple of days before we go home from this trip, and I want to goet to Paris early in the day. The next flight isn't until 1 in the afternoon.

From what I have seen on this board, it is 2-3 miles to the city center from the port, and then it is a 15 min cab ride to the airport. So if we are out of the port at 8, we would be at the airport 1 hr 3 min before our flight. I don't know how long it takes in the mornings to leave the ship - this is my first cruise.

Generally,

The cruise lines tell you to allow about 2 hours for disembarkation, and not to make flight arrangements prior to noon.

Having said that, I've been on ships which arrived earlier then posted, and cleared an hour early.

To be on the safe side, I would book a later flight, otherwise you will have to pay for any changes to your airline ticket and the later flight may be booked at the last minute.

Not sure how many passengers will be on your ship, but most of them will be heading for the airport and various destinations.

I think that is the safest bet. We are also doing a cruise out of Copenhagen on Princessin May and booked a departing flight at Noon. Was afraid to book anything earlier.

Bon Voyage!
