ilovetotravel1977 Posted February 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Just wondering if you are able to take beer back to your cabin for later without the bartenders having to open them? I'd like to get a half dozen or so and just keep them in the fridge for a late night drink on the balcony. Do they let you walk around with bottles or does everything go into plastic cups? Cubechick Posted February 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) DH and I had no problem doing this. Just ask for your beer to not be opened. :) A dollar tip goes a long way. Edited February 18, 2015 by Cubechick
ilovetotravel1977 Posted February 18, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Do you recall if they had any Cooler-type drinks, Bacardi Breezers, etc?
LaCal Posted February 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I don't recall ever seeing any of those on any cruises
Demonyte Posted February 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I have a faint recollection of Smirnoff Ice (probably itinerary specific) but not quite sure (didn't find confirmation from Gambee's drink list pictures).
Thecat3902 Posted February 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Cruising with gamble put up drink lists and the closest I found to non beers was strongbow cider I haven't cruised yet but just booked on the escape. I am looked forward to trying the many drink options.
emcelh Posted February 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2015 How many beers will they give you at one time using the UBP?
Demonyte Posted February 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2015 How many beers will they give you at one time using the UBP? "One (1) beverage per person per transaction." http://www.ncl.com/promo/ultimate-beverage-package/terms
ncklhaus Posted February 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2015 If you have 2 people in your stateroom (you both have to have the UBP), you can get 2 drinks at a time. At least, that's how it worked for us.
LrgPizza Posted February 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2015 When the 2 of us were in our seats in the theater and ordered beers from the server, we gave him our cards with our UBP stickers. He asked if we each wanted him to bring 2, to get us through the long show. (It was the kids' club circus). We said, sure! He brought 4 beers to us in a bucket with ice and an opener. ilovetotravel1977 Posted February 19, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Yay! I was hoping we'd be able to get 2 drinks at once!
triptolemus Posted February 19, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Yay! I was hoping we'd be able to get 2 drinks at once! It's not allowed, but can and does regularly happen... Act accordingly (tip a little be polite, and don't whine like a baby if you happen to not get your way).
AlexandNessa Posted February 19, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2015 It's one drink per card. If I wanted to get a beer for hubby, I would just show both cards and be given two beers, no problems. We're the types who establish a working relationship with the bartenders though. ;)
Biz64 Posted February 19, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 19, 2015 so the UBP doesn't cover the drinks in your fridge? What about bottled water?

Rare KeithJenner Posted February 19, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 19, 2015 He asked if we each wanted him to bring 2, to get us through the long show. (It was the kids' club circus). You only needed two drinks to get through the kids club circus? I find it needs more than that. :) I'm joking of course. It's a fantastic show, especially if you own kid does something good. It's generally quite short though. I'm surprised that he thought you would get through two drinks.

We entered with a full drink each, so the 2 additional were back up. There were a billion kids on our cruise, and each and every one was in that darn (I mean amazing ) circus. Yeah, we needed all the drinks, and then something stronger as soon as we got out of there. :)
