Jerseyboy3 Posted February 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Wondering, based on experience/opinion, what is the best deck to have a balcony on the Carnival Valor? Trying to decide. Thanks!
flc Posted February 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Wondering, based on experience/opinion, what is the best deck to have a balcony on the Carnival Valor? Trying to decide. Thanks! Valor is a ConQuest Class Ship. I've had balcony's mid-way on Deck 9 FWD couple times on the Conquest. And LOVED that position ! ! Also been on Deck 8 Fwd on the Glory twice .... and Loved that position as well.
flc Posted February 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2015 first time I sailed on the Conquest DW & I had a Cat. 12 Suite. Really enjoyed that cabin :D
LostPuppy Posted February 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Wondering, based on experience/opinion, what is the best deck to have a balcony on the Carnival Valor? Trying to decide. Thanks! The best deck for a balcony cabin is deck 9 as that is where the Captain's Suite cabins are. We did a B2B on the Valor staying in a 9C on deck 7. Between the two cruise legs we took a look at the Captains Suite: Two rooms, leather furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows, 60" flat screen and a 12' x 12' balcony. So if you want the best balcony, I would say this is it. Our 9C was OK, but the Captain's Suite has a better balcony.
Stinger-pr Posted February 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2015 When I cruised on the Valor, I stayed at a deck 7 aft cabin and loved it! Rooms above and below. Little people traffic, basically no noise from the hallway.
Shake-n-Bake Posted February 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2015 On Conquest Class ships I always get a balcony on deck 9 forward. Have done this 7 times and have 2 upcoming cruises this year on the same deck. Have really enjoyed being there. :D
Anyislandwilldo Posted February 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Just off the Valor. Had room 9287. Just a few steps away from the door and around the corner to the Lido deck. Could not hear any noise from the Lido deck. A few short steps in the other direction to the forward elevators. Very convienent.
Bobby_Mac Posted February 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2015 We like Deck 10 Forward, close to everything, yet not too close. Ppl don't tend to wonder onto that deck, so it is quiet.
1stTimeCruiserAmy Posted February 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2015 We loved our Aft Wrap (9C) on the Glory (deck 8)!
SteelerCruiser Posted February 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2015 6 or 7 on conquest class as there are cabins above most rooms rather than traffic areas
jenne252 Posted February 19, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2015 I don't have any personal experience but I sure would love to be in room 8449, oversized balcony and room. Pricey though
Jerseyboy3 Posted February 19, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted February 19, 2015 We have 9246 on the Lido deck so I am hoping that will be great!
Bo59rt Posted February 19, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2015 I recommend deck 7 anything since you are between two floors of rooms. We have had normal balconies, aft wrap balconies, jr suites and grand suites on this class of ship. I will always choose an aft wrap over anything else; but that is personal preference. cincycruisincouple Posted February 19, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 19, 2015 We were on deck 10. It was listed as forward but it was the last cabin before the middle section. The cabin and balcony were nice. We had no problems. It was quiet and we didn't mind walking to the other end of the ship for dining. The best thing about that deck is all the way forward there is a "secret door" that leads to the very front of the ship. I would get up and watch the sunrise from there as well as pulling into port. Nobody else was there and had it all to myself.

t1adams Posted February 20, 2015 #21 Share Posted February 20, 2015 (edited) Hopefully midship deck 9 (Lido). 9268 and 9270. Location to the action was our priority. But it's quiet in the rooms. Close to the pools. We will confirm our choice spring break. :-) Edited February 20, 2015 by t1adams
jayscore Posted February 20, 2015 #22 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Being an "aft snob", I would take a 9C, deck 6, or 8450, or 8457.....;)
LostPuppy Posted February 20, 2015 #23 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Was there a sofa or just a chair or two in the cabin? AFA the 9C on the Valor, no couch just a chair. . Being an "aft snob", I would take a 9C, deck 6, or 8450, or 8457.....;) While we generally stay in nicer cabins ((9's & up), I would never think of myself as a "aft snob". That just smacks of elitism.
