RAMSJUNKIE887 Posted February 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Anybody have any luck there?? we went in 2013 and the slots were awful! I don't know how they regulate the payout percentage or if they even have to at sea but man it was bad. we had some luck at a few of the table games. I was on here in march of 2013 I wonder if they have updated the slots or if there still all the same? Any favorite machines or lucky machines anybody played would sure be nice to know! RAMSJUNKIE887 Posted February 18, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Must be a lot of bad experiences in the Magic casino if nobody has anything to say about it.
CheckersMidwest Posted February 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2015 slots were terrible. My husband, however, did quite well at roulette and craps. He seems to do well at roulette every cruise, but this is the first time he played craps. Roulette was 'different' though on the Magic than the Freedom & Paradise. They changed the bet amounts, split unusual ways, etc. You had to really watch. Other places, you would win double your bet but on the Magic it would be 1 1/2, for example. It wasn't cheating, but definitely played that way to change the house odds.
BigB0882 Posted February 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2015 We weren't on the Magic but the slots were ridiculously tight. I did manage to hit $400 one night but I had to find a $1 machine and max bet on it. The other machines paid very little when you got a bonus, $8-$15 every time it seemed. It was really hard to hit a big win to allow you to gamble on for a while, much less win. Table game odds can't be changed as much so people who do win on cruises almost always seem to be playing table games. Otherwise, you need to be one of those VERY lucky people who hits a jackpot on a slot machine and those odds are really low. You wont come out ahead in the long run just playing slots. That's true anywhere, though. I do not think they have to follow any regulations out at sea, so the payouts can be set extremely low.
