Last Minute Advice? Norwegian Breakaway 4/19

Hi.

Looking at the 4/19 sailing of the Norwegian Breakaway out of NY, NY (7 nights Bahamas/FL). We can drive there, so airfare not an issue.

The price for a balcony room seems to have been holding steady for a few weeks, perhaps a slight drop (~$25) in the category where they choose the room for you. Actually, oceanview and that category balcony are now within $10 of each other, not sure if that indicates anything?

Any thoughts on the timing for a "last minute" deal? The regular balcony room is coming in at $909, not sure how much lower it could go, if at all?

Input most appreciated!

Jim

Agreed...so far, I've never had a cruise where the price has dropped.....take it now, if you want it!

Never? You must have a either magic booking timer or incredibly bad timing :p. The price dropped on many of our cruises booked before the final payment date.

That said, book when you get a price you can live with and then keep monitoring and hoping for a better price.

The cruise is about 8 weeks out, so final payments probably have been made. Our experience has been that prices sometimes do fluctuate (go down) but usually not once final payment has been made. It is possible however. But......a couple of years ago friends wanted to come on a cruise with us but were confident the price would go down, so they waited until a month before sailing. Well...the price never did go down and they were waitlisted as the cruise was fully booked. They never did get on. So take your chances but don't be disappointed if things don't work out the way you hope them to.
