carnival03 Posted March 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2015 We plan to try out some slot machines on our next cruise. Do we need to do anything prior to using them or do we just choose one and insert out SS card?
Cruzlover7 Posted March 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2015 You'll have to establish a PIN number I believe with your birthday. They usually have little signs around or a employee will help you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cruzlover7 Posted March 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2015 One more thing, remember to cash out any money back to your card before leaving a machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But otherwise, just like slots everywhere, the ones on Carnival accept good ol' cash, coins or bills, just put in your $ and pull the handle. They don't pay out in cash, though - they print out a ticket when you cash out and you take the ticket to the cashier for your money. So no happy sounds of coins crashing down into the hopper. Too bad.

aprilbs1960 Posted March 4, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 4, 2015 On the fantasy we didn't get the paper tickets. After we put money in the slots it cashed out to a separate casino section on our sign and sail card. When we were done at the end of the cruise went to the casino gave them our card at the window and cashed it out. I cleared 300 and didn't put it more that
Wilgr Posted March 4, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2015 No Carnival ships will print you off a cash out receipt.

Too bad. I haven't seen a slot machine that takes coins on any of the ships that I've sailed on in the last ten years or so. No use bringing a roll of quarters unless you can use them in the laundry room. Slots take paper cash, as much as you're willing to give them. Or use your S&S card. sjn911 Posted March 4, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Have not done this many times..slots period...and at Oregon beach casino most recently...long ago..LOL. So do you check your card every night to see where you are??? Or is it telling you somewhere..i guess that you are not putting more in and watching the points..but the actual cash..does that show?? Sorry not too swift here... Edited March 4, 2015 by sjn911
Wilgr Posted March 4, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Every time you put your card in, take it out or, transfer money to or from it will display how much money you have in your "Player Bank".

carnival03 Posted March 4, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Just to clarify I can use paper cash at the slot and my winnings are put onto my SS Card... Then I take it to the window to cash out. Can I do this at anytime during the cruise? Also can you view your casino balance on the SS kiosk. You cannot do it on port days or the day you disembark, so make sure you do it sometime before the casino closes the last night. If you forget, they DO send a check to your house in a few weeks. kona_wahine Posted March 4, 2015 #18 Share Posted March 4, 2015 It's pretty easy to set up your account. Just follow the instructions or ask an employee to help. Last cruise we just accumulated our chips and $ on S&S and last night cashed in more than $700 to the good. It was AWESOME!! :D

It was such a foreign thing to me, I forgot to get my money one time. That's how I know they'll send you a check. :D
