RDR11 Posted March 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2015 We will be in Belize in August with a 6 & 13 year old. Looking for family friendly excursion. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Whittyone Posted March 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2015 We have done the cave tubing there. You have about a 45 minute bus ride, some hiking through the jungle, and then the cave tubing. It was really fun and I bet the kids would love it.
Whittyone Posted March 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2015 I don't remember the name of the company, we booked it on the ship.
RDR11 Posted March 10, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Thanks Whittyone. I will look into that. I'm just not sure how the 6 year old will do.
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Thanks Whittyone. I will look into that. I'm just not sure how the 6 year old will do. If the 6 year old likes the water, tubing will be cool. Otherwise, you're left with snorkeling/beach excursions to local cays or Maya Ruins tours, which may not be all that exciting for either child. There is a local beach, Cucumber Beach, about a 20 minute taxi ride from the tender pier. It's man made, and used by locals. Some pictures and info here. http://www.oldbelize.com/
