Jean1946 Posted March 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Who has been in this cabin? Would love your opinion of it.
AgaveGal9 Posted March 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Me, too. I have the same room booked in June on the Oosterdam, and if I understand it correctly, the room should be the same on the Vista ships (albeit room condition may vary). So any feedback on either ship's rooms would be great!
CruiserBruce Posted March 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2015 A search finds this thread, including comments about 4164, which is on the opposite side of those stairs: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2169367&highlight=4166 Also these about Westerdam, which should be the same: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2081051&highlight=4166 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2055842&highlight=4166 Have you looked at HalFacts.com? Jean1946 Posted March 15, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Thank you CruiserBruce. I was thinking it was the longer one but love that it is wider.
Rick03Ultra Posted March 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2015 we in 4164 for two cruises in 2012. We loved the wide balcony. It was our first cabin near the stern and never noticed any additional noise. We would book it again if it is available. I think 4166 is a handicap room without a tub, but not sure. I have some pics of balcony if I can dig them out.
AgaveGal9 Posted March 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2015 4166 isn't listed as a handicap-accessible room on the deck plan. I did check out HalFacts but this particular room only had the one entry on the other ship. Hoping to get more photos if possible to see what the outlet situation is like (I've heard recommendations of bringing a power strip, but was trying to see if a 3-outlet extension would work as some of the outlet pictures I've seen make it appear that a wide "extra outlet plug" may not fit into the slot if it's inset...forcing me to bring a larger power strip. Trying to save room where possible! Plus, I wanted to see the bathroom, and just generally hear about the room...quiet level, condition, what's on the balcony currently (lounge chair?), etc.
Lizzie68 Posted March 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 15, 2015 If 4166 is the same on all the Vista ships, then it is not a handicap cabin but it only has a shower (a large one). It has the double-wide balcony too. An excellent location.
VermeulT Posted March 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2015 I provided pix to Halfacts. I've stayed in this room now twice (the equivalent on the Eurodam). The double wide balcony is AWESOME. You get two loungers in addition to a regular chair and small (tiny) table. I would live in that cabin if my wallet could afford it.
