Gamecock_Cruiser Posted March 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2015 I'm cruising in May with my cousin and his GF. The only rooms for three that I'm seeing online are with the pull down bed on the Fascination. I'm a hefty guy and would prefer a trundle, I think, but none seems to show up. Are the pull down beds the same size as the regular beds and what are the max weight limit?
falkcor Posted March 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2015 They are the same size, 78x33". The weight limit is 250 lbs. trundle beds are 73x29" by comparison
Gamecock_Cruiser Posted March 16, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Well, I slightly exceed the weight limit, but my goal is to lose weight before the cruise! I guess I will have to convince my cousins girlfriend to sleep on the fold down.
SadieN Posted March 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) On that class you can ask for a rollaway. Just like Grandma had. Need to call Carnival to get this. A trundle sits on the ground and is stored under the bed during the day. I will say the cabins are more spacious if the twins are kept apart. One under the window, the other along a wall. The rollaway or trundle will be in the middle. Edited March 16, 2015 by SadieN

SadieN Posted March 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Friends have said they were on the Inspiration. YMMV.
Lerin Posted March 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Are the rollaways comfortable on the ship? No and neither are the pull-downs, I personally wouldn't even attempt it if you are over 200# but I get paranoid about some things. Our friends who travel as a 3 some always just put a mattress on the floor. Which is also not comfortable imho, but they seem to prefer it. SadieN Posted March 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2015 The uppers on Carnival are just as comfortable as the lowers. Slept on the often enough The ones on Princess are horrible.
