You pay on arrival, cash or credit cards are fine. Taxis are readily available or you can arrange a time sith the one who drops you off. Should be about $10-15 each way.

It is couple's only, meaning two or four or six people. Doesn't matter what the pair is, mother daughter or father son or father daughter or two friends, etc. It is a resort geared towards romantic couples but for a few hours it's no big deal, same sex.couples, etc are welcome also.

Enjoy.

Thank you so much.

Well I can't comment on spending the day at Rendezvous. The day we were in port it was raining pretty hard at 9:30am and we were supposed to go there at 10. Around 11 it let up and we did walk over. It takes about 15 minutes. It's a rough sidewalk but it's doable. No hills just a flat walk. The place looked ok but since the weather wasn't perfect we decided to just head back to the ship and save the $130. The hotel doesn't look new but there is a small beach and we saw two pools. Not sure if the one day pass can use both or not.

The resort is not new, so it wouldn't look new. The original buildings have been there for at least 30 years or so. There has been major renovations along the way with most recent being last year. Both pools, all land activites, food and drink are included in the day pass. Motorized water sports are technically not included, but they rarely check details. Malabar/Vigie Beach is a long, long stretch of beach, not sure what you saw that made you think it is small. Bummer you didn't give it a go after all. Maybe next time you visit the island.

Hope you enjoyed your sailing....

Thanks as well for reporting back.

We have reserved for early March.

We plan on taking the taxi to get there and walk back.

Could someone (reed princess?) give walking directions from the resort back to the port? I know I should be able to read the directions backwards but don't want to make an error and get lost...

Thanks!!

I'll type what I remember (without street names) and hopefully ReedPrincess can fill in the rest. From the resort you walk straight to the traffic circle. Take a right at the traffic circle. You will need to cross the street when you turn right to get on the sidewalk. At this point the airport runway will be on your right and stores will be on your left. You follow that street straight until you get to a main intersection where the road coming from your left will 'T' into the street you're walking on. You will turn left here. It's a busy intersection but the sidewalk is on your left so you don't have to cross the street here. You then walk straight on this street until you see the street for the port. There is a gas station on the right to identify the street. Now you get to have fun crossing. There is a traffic light further up so if you wait for it to change that should reduce some of the traffic and you can cross over. We found cars stopped for us to let us cross. Then you walk to your ship! Pretty easy. Just a couple of turns.

If you can come back after your trip and give a report, I'd appreciate it. I am not heading down there until November.

What hours is your ship in port? I believe I am 9-4...Seems like the resort is accommodating and may allow a 9-3 window instead of 10-4...???

It's virtually impossible to get lost heading back to the port. Hang a left out of Rendezvous, pass around the end of the airport, follow the sidewalk/walking path along the airport runwayn your right - you'll be walk f along the highway. When the highway takes a hard jog left, go with it, you'll be able to see the ships in Port by this point (if there's more than one). Stay along the highway till you get to the gas station, turn right if you're ship is docked at Pointe Seraphine (one story shopping G center). If you're docked at La Place Carenage, stay on the highway past the gas station, past the park on your left, past the next traffic circle and you'll clearly see your ship, just heads towards it! It's very very difficult to get lost - you'd have to work at it! And anyone along the way will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Enjoy!

We did spend the day there last week and had a great day.

We reserved from 8.30 to 2.30. We got off the ship as soon as we were docked, grabbed a cab ($12) and were there about 8.20.

We had to show our confirmation email at the security booth on the way in. We went to the office to pay ($65 pp) and grabbed some great chairs under a palapa on the beach.

We had some breakfast, it was a definite step up from the ship food!

Lunch was good, buffet style, curry dishes, a nice salad bar. There is a new alacarte restaurant on the beach that we were told we could not use on a daypass.

We would only recommend this resort if you want a completely tranquil day. We sat, read and listened to birds, waves and trees rustling, that's it.

There were no folks partying at a bar! Most of the guests at the resort are from England.

We chatted with a younger couple from the ship who were very bored and left early.

I thought the service is amazing, they come to your chair with drinks, cold cloths....

There are beach towels there, no need to bring them from the ship.

We would love to stay for a week or two but the prices are very, very high making this daypass a bargain.

We decided to cab back so can't comment on the walk.

I definately recommend this resort day. You must book ahead.

Again, don't go expecting a party day, you will be disappointed.

Did you use the pool or stay at the beach?

We were lucky to get some chairs under a big palapa on the beach.

From there we dipped in the pool and came back to the beach chairs.

It was wonderful, really, just be prepared for total relaxation....we were almost comatose by the time we left!!

Thanks for the report! We will be there next week and are looking forward to the relaxation!!

Just wanted to report back on our day pass at Rendezvous Resort. We had a fantastic time, despite some pretty frequent rain showers.

We arrived around 10:15 and were escorted to the reservation area, where we paid our $65 pp fee. We were then given a brief tour of the facilities and told we could sit anywhere. We chose some chairs under umbrellas at the far end of the beach, in front of some lovely oceanview rooms. We were immediately greeted by an attendant who offered us beverages. He gave us flags to stick in the sand when we wanted something, which worked nicely.

We enjoyed the lunch buffet, which included some freshly grilled fish. Delicious and plentiful. We were offered wine, which we accepted, and a carafe was placed on the table for us.

After lunch we moved to one of the pool areas to sit until it was time to return to the ship. Our AM taxi driver returned for us at the agreed-upon time and brought us right back to the ship.

All four of us decided we would definitely like to go back for a longer stay!

We will be there in October 2018. Can we still get custom pricing like $65 for 10-4? I emailed and they said $44 for 12-3. I responded and asked if I could get custom pricing for 10-4 but I have heard nothing back. I emailed Angus. Any info would be verry much appreciated.
