It is hard to say, as everyone is different.

But based on what you list as likely drinks, you are at worst close to the break even point.

I don't drink anymore :(, but always get the soda package and I ALWAYS come out in front. We almost always get herself a package of some sort and in all honesty most times would struggle to break even, but the sheer convenience and the fact that without it she'd be all "Aww I'd like a drink but I might just leave it and save the $c" with it if she wants a drink she has one, and to my mind that makes it worthwhile, after all how often do you get a cruise.

So in a nutshell my opinion is if you are even close to beak even go for it.

Now that you have your question answered I'll simply say in the future when you start a new thread put an appropriate title for your post. Otherwise it defaults to your screen name.

Thanks I'm not the OP but I didn't know that other forums I belong to wont let you start a thread without a title, I actually clicked on it thinking he was introducing himself.

But I do wish some people would state the title clearly, save a lot of wasted time and probably get better answers.

Hi LondonBob, welcome to CC. Any thread with LondonBob in the title I had to open because London is one of my favorite cities and a relative was a London Bobby. ;)

I had the drinks package on Celebrity and the premium coffee, juice, bottled water (for excursions) really made the package for me. I was having $15 - $20 worth of non-alcoholic drinks by noon. And it's nice to have good coffee at all meals. Cruise ship regular coffee is only so so.

Have fun on your cruise.

"Worthwhile" means different things to different people. Some know they'll drink enough to make the break-even point. Some like the convenience of being more all-inclusive. If you think it's a good use of your money, go for it.

For us, we don't drink much, and find the Unlimited Soda & More the optimal value on Princess. There is no right answer for everyone.

Check the package and what you get. I only know of a soda package, a wine package and a drinks (alcohol) package. Don't think you can use these packages for special coffee, only what they are for- not soda or wine with drinks package.

For our wine & gin & tonic its about $15 and we usually only have 3, maybe 4 drinks in the evening. We would never drink enough each evening to be worth spending $49 each so we just buy our drinks one at a time.
