CruiserBruce Posted March 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) Check with Verizon- their maps and info should say "yes". After all, a US plan will include Alaska. Or, a quick search of the board finds: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2158147&highlight=verizon http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2092614&highlight=verizon http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2010312&highlight=verizon and many others. zqvol Posted March 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2015 Do Verizon phones work in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. They did last summer without any problem.
ozark74 Posted March 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Verizon works at all three stops. If you stop in Victoria, BC that will be roaming. Across the channel in US so sometimes you can get a signal if you are in the right spot on the ship.

Rare Crew News Posted March 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 27, 2015 How is the service with AT&T? I have used ATT in Alaska since 2008. Good reception when you are near population centers. Great reception in major cities where cruise ships dock.

I brought a prepaid ATT sim and had great coverage when other cruisers were having problems. Anyone get coverage in Glacier Bay and Tracey Arm? TD & SD Posted April 20, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2016 I have used ATT in Alaska since 2008. Good reception when you are near population centers. Ashland Posted April 20, 2016 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Did you have to change your ATT plan at all? No.....Alaska is the US...no need to change anything about your AT&T plan...for in (US) port use. The only thing you might consider is when at sea. AT&T offers a cruise package. I usually get the $60.00 option which gives me 50 min of phone calls and 100 texts. I just signed up for this plan again today for my upcoming caribbean cruise. Call AT&T for any questions/info on the plans they offer.
