NEPhillyRN Posted March 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 27, 2015 We stayed in an aft family suite last summer. My husband, myself and our 6 kids. It was a little tight for the 8 of us but not horrible. The master bedroom was huge for a cruise ship. We had plenty of room to put a pack-n-play for the baby. The balcony was amazing!! I encourage you to sip champagne one evening and just watch the serenity of the ships wake. Enjoy your trip! gerif Posted March 27, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 27, 2015 I think your biggest issue will be who will sleep in the big comfy master bedroom with the private bath and who will sleep in the small "bunk" room.
NEPhillyRN Posted March 27, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 27, 2015 The smaller room wasn't too bad either. There's no window but it's a decent size. The living room will be nice for you since it's 2 couples. Good for socializing and separate from bedrooms Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Forums mobile app
Rubywith Posted March 28, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Just returned from AOS (Voyageur Class) to southern Caribbean. Suite worked great for 3 generations. We were given the master - pays to be Grandma and Grandpa! - and our D & SIL and grandchildren shared the second bedroom. A little tight but for sleeping and dressing worked well. Bunks make it tight but otherwise no problem. Room on each side of the bed when together. Small vanity, shelving and large closet in the hall outside of bathroom. Loughlyn Posted March 28, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Is second bedroom able to have king bed ? It has its own bath? The 3-4 ppl were really a bargain so we decided to combine all of us plus all will get suite perks

This is what the room looks like before the beds are pulled out of the ceiling. As to what is the best sleeping arrangement, I don't know any of you, so I can not answer that question. momof4turner Posted March 28, 2015 #19 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Thks for photos bedroom w bunks do they fold up so out of way? Do u think better to share suite or get own rooms? Share a suite! Boarding at Galveston can be very chaotic, especially if you arrive noon or later. Suites have a separate, and much shorter, boarding line. momof4turner Posted March 28, 2015 #20 Share Posted March 28, 2015 We are in a family suite 8-27 out of Bayonne Anyone with info? Sorry. Just read you're not leaving out of Galveston. Not familiar with Bayonne. Regardless, suites do have priority boarding, and you will also get the suite upgrades. Family suite really is spacious and would be plenty of room
