SummerXU Posted April 6, 2015 #276 Share Posted April 6, 2015 HAHAHAHA :D :D It is so funny that you mention that difference between "pop" and "soda"......my friends on the cruise with me from Florida gave me a hard time whenever I said I wanted a pop. they would literally laugh at me. Laura even went as far on the trip from Tampa to Miami as to ask me what kind of pop I wanted when we stopped for lunch. My friends in Louisiana do the same thing. They think it is so funny when I call it "pop." Listen we live in the north and we call it "pop".....haha My boyfriend makes fun of me as well. I'm from Ohio and have called it "pop" my whole life. He's from Alabama and likes to act like he doesn't know what "pop" is! In college I worked for a family that had recently moved to Cincinnati from Boston and she always thought I was saying "pot machine" as well. wrigley80 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #285 Share Posted April 6, 2015 So Day #4 of our cruise was here and it was a Port Day in Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman is one of my favorite stops. This was my 6th time in Grand Cayman and on all previous visits we went to Stingray City. This trip we would be doing something different. Octavia had a hook-up in Grand Cayman and we went to Tiki Beach for the day with an all-inclusive pass. Tiki Beach for free and its all-inclusive.....which way to the Bus :) On the tender ride from the ship to shore Grand Cayman always gives you the opportunity to get some great pictures of the ship

Princess_K Posted April 6, 2015 #287 Share Posted April 6, 2015 The private party for our meet and greet was free. You just have to contact Carnival a week or so prior to the cruise with your date, time, and how many people would be attending. They will do their best to accommodate your request. wrigley80 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #290 Share Posted April 6, 2015 So once Octavia got ahold of her contact. He gave us a meeting time and location to catch the bus to Tiki Beach. We still had about an hour so we headed over to Margaritaville Doing "the lean" on the Margaritaville Parrot The real reason that we wanted to head over to Margaritaville was to go to Blackbeards to get our Big Black Dick rum. I got a bottle of coconut....I would have gotten two but I was flying home and I didn't want the extra weight. You pay for it and it gets delivered back to the ship for you. After our Big Black Dick purchase I headed into the Margaritaville store to see if there was anything that I couldn't live without :p

I take the very same approach when on a vacation... oh and I have to get that flip flop sign the next time I am in a Margaritaville... Which will be in Turks and Caicos in just under 3 weeks when its our turn to cruise again! ... Thanks again for helping to build the excitement! fozzy1975 Posted April 6, 2015 #294 Share Posted April 6, 2015 How bad were the tenders at Grand Cayman? Was there a long wait in the AM/PM? We have never had to tender before and not looking forward to it
Delta Dear Posted April 6, 2015 #295 Share Posted April 6, 2015 As always and as everyone else has said, I'm enjoying your review. I, too, wish your Dad well. My husband spent several years on dialysis so I know it is an adjustment. His doctor had told us about the cruises that provide dialysis services but we never really explored the option. We had never cruised before and weren't sure we wanted to do that. My husband was blessed to receive a kidney transplant just two days after his 65th birthday. That was 12 years ago and we are planning cruise #7 in November on the Pride. I hope that your dad will cruise again soon, too.
teacher34 Posted April 6, 2015 #296 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Brianna, I always love your reviews! I love how thorough you are and all the pictures you take. I particularly love the ppictures of the water that you showed. One of my favorite things to do on a cruise is to just sit and read and listen to the sound of the waves while looking out at the water. (Sometimes it's hard to focus on the book because the water lures my eyes out to it. ) Thank you so much for taking the time to do thyour reviews. I know it must take a huge amount of time, but know that it allows the rest of us to travel with you and enjoy cruising.

How can you not have a good attitude on a cruise???? I always leave my worries and bad attitude at the cruise terminal.....haha. We would get along just great....I bought that sign as well. I have it hanging at work. Oh I am so jealous. Grand Turk Margaritaville is my favorite. I just love it there. I love the pool. When we go to Grand Turk we are always off the ship right away and we head straight to Margaritaville to spend the day at the pool. wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #300 Share Posted April 7, 2015 How bad were the tenders at Grand Cayman? Was there a long wait in the AM/PM? We have never had to tender before and not looking forward to it I can't really attest to the tender in the morning because I have priority tendering (that's one of the Platinum perks). For tender ports I just go to guest services and someone from guest services escorts down to the gangway. On this cruise the line for the return tender was AWFUL. It was very long so we sat down on a bench and waited for the line to go down. The line moved very fast though because of how many people they can fit on a tender. From the time we got in line to the time we got back on the ship was probably close to 45 minutes Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
