lesliek Posted April 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Hi all - I am booked on my second Seabourn cruise this summer (10 day Mediterranean Jewels, departing on July 8). On our first cruise in the summer of 2010, we had a marina day which we absolutely loved. My travel agent is under the impression that we won't have a marina day this time. I had thought that marina day was fairly standard. Does anyone know whether Seabourn regularly schedules cruises without a marina day, or is my TA likely to just not have all the facts yet? Thanks very much for any insight!
ab21au Posted April 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2015 The marina days on our Med cruise were shown on the itinerary (2 in 14 days). Of the 2, only half of one was done, 1 cut short and the other cancelled.
secoma4 Posted April 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2015 They are not always done. Usually they coincide with a sea day, but not always. And whether they are offered depends very much on the weather and whether the area is suitable for the activities. We have been on a number of Med legs where there were no Marina days. ab21au Posted April 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Ours were scheduled for Limnos / Myrina and Parga, the Limnos was cut short due to wind picking up and Parga did not happen due to seas which did not have to be much more that a ripple for it to be too rough, from what I could see.
