tiggrbaby Posted June 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2004 We are a family of five, and will be docked for three days in St. George. What would be the best way to get around? Would like to sightsee and snorkel.

There is a high speed ferry that goes from St.G to Hamilton as well as the regular one that would have more stops and you could get off and see some of the area, pick up the bus etc. When you get to St.G the tourist office is right there and they can give all sorts of info. basketballmom Posted June 25, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2004 The bus transit system is so easy to use in Bermuda. Last time we were there, a 3-day pass cost $22 ea. Depending on kids ages, they might be cheaper. Try this link and it will give you all the information: http://www.gov.bm/portal/server.pt?space=CommunityPage&control=SetCommunity&CommunityID=
srpilo Posted July 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2004 Best Way?? For absolute freedom there's nothing to compare to renting scooters... I know, I know, there considered dangerous, But you asked.. Srpilo
bermudashorts Posted July 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2004 We rent scooters but if you prefer the bus system is great. Cabs can be expesive. One of the best places to snorkel is at Tabacco bay which is a mile or so away from the heart of St George. You could walk it or talk a cab. redhummer96 Posted July 13, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2004 Just as a small warning--be careful on the scooters if you have never riden. Remember the roads in Bermuda are opposite the US (drive on left not right) and the round-abouts can get a little confusing if you are not careful. With that being said, the scooters are great to get around on.
Nancyquilts Posted August 15, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2004 It looks like the 3-day bus pass may now be $35.
