Mackenzie1 Posted April 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2015 Hi everyone. Does anyone know what the blocked off area is mid-ship on the Caribe deck of the Star Princess? Looking at several sailings, cabins on the Caribe deck are available in all areas except mid-ship, and there is nothing to indicate what takes up this space. Does anyone know if the mid-ship area is blocked off, and whether passengers have access to the panoramic elevators from both forward and aft? I'm hoping the Caribe deck is open from forward to aft so that we can all use the panoramic elevators. Any replies will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. skynight Posted April 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2015 Hi everyone. Does anyone know what the blocked off area is mid-ship on the Caribe deck of the Star Princess? The white areas on the deck plans across the hall from C305 and C317 are storage and work space for the cabin stewards. The large open space across from cabin C617 is also storage as well as some offices plus an area where the stacks travel from the engine room to the upper deck.Looking at several sailings, cabins on the Caribe deck are available in all areas except mid-ship, and there is nothing to indicate what takes up this space. Does anyone know if the mid-ship area is blocked off, and whether passengers have access to the panoramic elevators from both forward and aft? If you look at the deck plans you will see 6 elevators (4 marked lift and two semi circle ones not marked) mid ship with an open area marked 'panoramic lifts.' This open area is the lift lobby. Passengers can access all six of these elevators. I'm hoping the Caribe deck is open from forward to aft so that we can all use the panoramic elevators. Any replies will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. See Above. We were on the Star this past March with a cabin on the Caribe deck.
