Hi there,

 

It is my understanding that guests with the Premium Beverage package will only pay the difference, not the full amount.

 

Is that from experience? As I mentioned that and the lady said even with the premium package it's $18 full price?

The problem is that CC members know the minutiae of Celebrity's policies and systems better than half the staff.

Gastrobar -,they've added hi tables and beer fridges and best of all the bar staff are bar sommeliers and Andre has just picked me a perfect one for me

 

 

A well stocked new beer fridge, you only have 2 days to empty it you say?!

I dont know if you will be spending on-board but I found yesterday that CelX are giving us a cracking conversion. I bought $200 for just over £119 - equated to £1=$1.68. I called them up and even paid with my cashback credit card - happy days:cool:

 

It's been that rate since January, I've bought 15 units of $25, for our July Eclipse cruise. I'm going to visit the Apple shop.

Is this something that is offered to you all in England? Where you can buy US $$ for your British pounds? Per sailing?

 

But for us here in the US it wouldn't work, right? Because it sounds like the prices on board are in US $$...but the stated price for the drink does include the "tip"? We had that in OZ last fall...where the prices were in OZ $$ and included the tip as part of the "full" price...that was on Princess.

Interesting... I've just spoke to someone from celebrity and they said the 3 x $18 drinks at the new world bar are not included in ANY package so even with the premium package you still have to pay the full $18 to try them...

 

That's true but if you're on premium they only charge you $2

 

Have you tried any yet? Are they wonderful, or just another mixed drink with a fancy name and cost? Is the difference with the Premium pkg how they are doing it?

On Equinox it is $12 per glass (within the premium package).

So in UK it should be $14 - $14.50.

At the bar last night if you were premium you could have the ones above the package for $2

 

Unfortunately they had no dry ice and ran out of raspberries so 3 of the menu couldn't be made. I was a little chaotic whilst they find their routine however the bar staff were excellent

Ok just for you we went and tried a few drinks. We both tried the tanqueray 10 one, DH had it without he sugar syrup and his was better, had a nice bite to it.

 

Between 4 of us at the bar we gave hat we could a try, the bullet is served in a round flask with soft fruits and oranges and you pour it as you want it. Very tasty was the response although we coveted the fruit to infuse and change the flavour with each pour but apparently it didn't, that doesn't mean it won't for others.

 

I wanted to try the infusion but they had no dry ice so will have to try again tonight

The martini bar pricing inc grat is $14.50 and premium can have any drink upto and inc $15

 

Yes there is a wine menu in the gastrobar however limited as here is still an extensive menu in cellar masters which also looks fabulous as they've removed all the machines and removed all the doors and windows to deck 4 inside. Positive news that lots of people were sung the area as they're no longer enclosed

Luis is a great guy - as is his Boss Kris. Both were on Eclipse on our 14 night January 2015 - They had better be on Eclipse late January 2016:D !!
