Ship to ship transfer

we are considering a EB TA, an Icelandic cruise and a WB TA. In the newest Cunard cruise pamphlet there is schedule of the EB docking in Soton on 16 Aug and the Iceland cruise departing on the 16 Aug. Is it doable to disembark from QMII and embark on the QE the same day? How is luggage transferred?

Thanks.

I changed in New York from QV to QM2 in January 2011 and it worked well. Cunard provided a bus who took us to Red Hook. :) and in the evening all three Queens were cruising, and fireworks ... unforgettable! :)

A couple of years ago we took the QM2 to Soton and transferred to the QE on the arrival day. Cunard handled everything flawlessly. We went to the tour desk on the QM2 and told them that we would be transferring and they put us on a list and later sent special luggage tags. A bus took us over and our luggage was waiting by our QE doorway when we boarded. I'm sure you won't be the only ones.

Last year we arrived on the Victoria in Southampton, and there was a busload of passengers that transferred to the QM2. Of course we checked with the Purser's Desk in advance.

Thanks to all who responded. It's nice to have my thoughts confirmed by those who have experienced the same scenario.

One less item to worry about. Now all we have to do is decide which cruises we will agree on, and figure out how to pay for them!
