carnival03 Posted May 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Anyone have info, tips, experience, and thoughts on this Behind the Fun tour? Specifically on the Pride.
PH29 Posted May 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) We did this tour and enjoyed it very much. It is worth it. I was disappointed that they gave us a soap carving while in the specialty restaurant ???? We at first thought it was a fancy desert, lol. My tip to you, though would be to book it early, it fills up fast. Edited May 8, 2015 by PH29
brewrat Posted May 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2015 I did the Behind the Fun tour on the Pride in 2013, before the latest upgrades. I thought it was well worth the price. We saw many parts of the ship that most people do not see. I as very impressed by the food storage areas. They really are very organized. Being an engineer myself, the engine control room was very impressive as well. You can't take any cameras or cell phones with you, but they will take pictures of the group and your party in particular with the Captan on the Bridge. These photos are given to you later that night. Like I said, in my opinion, it is worth the price of the tour.
Izzybee Posted May 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2015 My husband did it on the Pride last year. He loved it - he said it gave him a whole new perspective on the ship and how it all works.

carnival03 Posted May 8, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 8, 2015 How much is the tour again, $99.95?
mzlinda Posted May 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Thanks for that detailed list. I took this tour on the Fantasy. Looks like we hit most of the same things but no carnival bag, steakhouse visit or carved soap and the only picture was a group shot on the bridge. RoniK Posted May 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2015 How do you book a tour?
carnival03 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted May 9, 2015 This tour, Behind the Fun, can only be booked onboard at the shore excursions desk. Generally, all other tours can be booked online prior to the cruise. Does anyone know what time the behind the fun tour usually starts?
aprilbs1960 Posted May 9, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Usually around 9 is starting time. We did the fantasy in February and we got one with everyone who participated and one of ourselves together
