They don't print tickets like land based casinos. I guess I'm trying to say you do not need to put casino play on your Sail and Sign if you don't want to. cash for table games Edited May 9, 2015 by jiggs
SMSACE6 Posted May 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2015 If you put a twenty dollar bill in a machine and have played 10.00 away and you decide that you dont like the machine, then you need to put your card in the machine to upload the remaining money to your casino account. Then when you go to another machine you put your card in and download the ten dollars to that machine.
ZanziBarred Posted May 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2015 The only time you are required to use your Sail & Sign card in the casino is when you want to cash out a balance from the slot machine. It can be applied to either your casino account (called the players bank) or to your Sail & Sign account. When playing, you are not obligated to use your Sail & Sign card, but your play will not be rated and you will not receive complimentary offers and items based on your play. If you look underage, casino employees may ask to see your Sail & Sign card (or photo identification) to verify that you are 18 or older.

carnival03 Posted May 9, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2015 So I have the same question and let me see if I get this right..... I play with cash at a slot, insert cash, but don't have to put in my SS card. I then win "X" amount of money, so I then insert my SS card into the machine to put in my players bank, and then cash out when I'm done... Is that how this process is suppose to work? Yes, that's exactly how it works. Why not just play with your card in the machine?
ladylyn915 Posted May 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Is there a way to just use your card? Can you fund it at the beginning of the cruise? Someone mentioned a player's bank. Can someone elaborate on the details of this. Or, point me in the direction of information. I don't remember seeing any info on the Carnival site - or perhaps I just missed it. Yes, you can fund your players bank on the card. Just put card in any slot, tell it you want to get funds from you sail and sign, it will tell you to make a pin then ask you how much, up to 300 per transaction, no idea how many times a day you can do this, but set can more than once. The only thing is, it will put all the money you took out of sail and sign and put it on the machine you are on. You can just cash it back to players bank and use at other machines. No problems, no fees. If you get cash from sail and sign on tables, they charge, which is dumb when you can get it free on any slot.

If you wait, then you won't get credit for that play. Always insert your S&S card in first thing when you play a slot machine. If you have money left in the machine when you are ready to leave that machine, simply upload it onto your S&S card. You may then put your S&S card into another slot and download that onto another machine. You also have the option to charge your account for money to play slots. When you choose that option after you insert your S&S card, then the money you charged will be a charge on your account just like if you bought a drink or made another purchase onboard. To the best of my knowledge there is no fee to do that. Then anytime you want to cash in whatever balance you have on your card, simply take it to the casino cashier and you will receive the cash. All of that requires you set up a 4 digit PIN number the first time you use the card in a machine. You then use that PIN each time you want to take funds from the card as you are playing. So, I take $300 from Sail and Sign; all $300 appears on the slot machine I am on. I cash out and go to another machine. When I put the card in this machine it will register all the funds? I can of course, go to the cage, take out the cash and play accordingly, right? While you are playing with cash, do you use the S& S card too? Similar to a land casino players card? Thanks so much for the info. Its been may years since I gambled on a cruise ship! Edited May 9, 2015 by ladylyn915

Yes it is similar to a land base casino in that it tracks your play. When you go to another machine with funds on your card, it will ask you how much you want to download. You do not have to download the entire amount. The only time I go to the casino cage is on the last night of the cruise to get any money I have left on the card. Good luck! mzlinda Posted May 9, 2015 #18 Share Posted May 9, 2015 It is important to note that if you have winnings, you have to go to the casino cage to cash them out by the last night. They will not automatically appear as a credit on your S&s account at the end of the cruise

No worries about the number of questions. 1. Once your card has funds on it, you will be given an option to get money from your players bank every time you put it in. There are a series if buttons to do this. They are where you put your card in. You will be given option for amount to put on the machine. All the funds are in your player account from first machine, but you don't have to use them all on subsequent machines. 2. Yes, but I have heard of people getting flack for cashing out without playing at all. In other words, using the slot like an ATM. I always give at least 2-3 spins before cashing out, never had issue with cashiers. 3. Yes, your sail and sign is just like land based and should always be inserted when you play. 4. Good luck!!! Not a stupid question at all. They have a system set up to automatically send you a check if its over $10. Normally it takes about 8-12 weeks. cincicruisers Posted May 10, 2015 #24 Share Posted May 10, 2015 what happens if you win a large jackpot? In regular casinos the machine starts making noise and you wait for casino person to hand pay you the jackpot (1200.00 or more) On the ship does it just add the funds to your account without the bells and whistles? Not that I am going to win, but it's nice to dream.

Not that I am going to win, but it's nice to dream. I hit a $2,000 jackpot on the Valor in January. I normally do not play slots but the casino just opened up and I was there for the daily drawing. When I hit the jackpot on my machine, it actually did not make any sounds or added credits. The reels showed triple-double-double, so I had to check the pay chart to make sure I actually won something. For a few seconds I thought I did not win anything as no credits were adding up. Then I saw in the bottom left display "Jackpot - Handpay $2,000. I had to flag down a casino employee and they grabbed a couple of forms to fill out. I had to provide my Sail & Sign card, drivers license, and social security number. It only took a few minutes for them to complete the paperwork and then they give you a copy to take to the casino cashier for payment. They also leave a present in your stateroom mailbox on the last evening - a W-2G form.
