laurieb24 Posted May 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Does Royal Caribbean still allow you to bring a certain amount of wine on board with you in your luggage? What is the policy? Thank you!

laurieb24 Posted May 18, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Thanks! Do you usually buy somewhere near the port (we are leaving from PR) or pack in your checked luggage? I worry about it breaking and making a mess!
Clarea Posted May 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2015 (edited) Thanks!Do you usually buy somewhere near the port (we are leaving from PR) or pack in your checked luggage? I worry about it breaking and making a mess! We try to buy near the port, as we want to avoid breakage, and the extra weight in the checked bags. If you are not too particular about wine, then you could probably find something you like at the duty free shop in the cruise terminal. Otherwise I'd go to a market. We went to a Pueblo Super Mercado very near the San Juan airport and found a good selection of wine. Edited May 18, 2015 by clarea
LeeW Posted May 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2015 The Pueblo market is about a block east of the Embassy Suites just north of the airport. As Bob said the only thing at the pier itself is a small duty free shop, but there are also a number of places near piers on the Old San Juan side of the bay. Prices are better at Pueblo (plus they have pretty good pastries and take-out food).
jerseycanadian Posted May 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Does Puebla have a good wine selection ? Does it have gin?
Clarea Posted May 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Does Puebla have a good wine selection ? Does it have gin? Don't know about gin, but it has a much better wine selection than the duty free shop at the pier.
