TheWog Posted October 7, 2005 #26 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Hi, What is the easiest way to get to Sea Grape beach? Did you take a taxi? Thanks, Janette Taxis will be plentiful at the pier when you tender in. $4 per person each way will get you to Sea Grape beach.
runner15km Posted October 7, 2005 #27 Share Posted October 7, 2005 As you get off of the tenders, the minivans (taxi) are all lined up on the street and the cost in Feb. to SeaGrape was $4 per person.
Rowan555 Posted October 8, 2005 #28 Share Posted October 8, 2005 What about taking a bus? Seems a bit cheaper, but I'm not sure which one we would need to use to get there!
als310 Posted October 10, 2005 Author #29 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Yea when you get off the charter boat you are taken to an area with a bunch of taxis and busses. I think it was $4 pp each way. Maybe $5. Just ask any of the drivers, they'll direct you to the right bus. When you are ready to leave the beach, the drivers are there waiting for you. houstoncruisers2001 Posted October 10, 2005 #30 Share Posted October 10, 2005 we use the public transportation(mini vans) that leaves from next to the library in George Town. it's a short walk from the pier, but it's not too bad. on the way back they drop you off right in town near all the shops. sharks48 Posted October 10, 2005 #31 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Tried to post a website for very helpful info re free use of beach facilities, but they blanked out the info!??? If you want to find it, you can Google Cayman Activity Guide [or type that all run together with a dot com after it!]. There's info there about facilities at Hyatt Beach Club. runner15km Posted November 10, 2005 #33 Share Posted November 10, 2005 As you exit the tender area the buses are all lined up on the street. Just tell driver you want to go to Sea Grape and the cost was $4 ea person. I was just there last week and the ride out was 15 minutes and the return was 30 minutes. They depart from the Square, on the side of the library. The taxi-vans you will find along the water front. We took a bus up to the Turtle Farm, and I believe it was a couple of bucks each way last year. I remember we stopped at several spots along 7 mile beach, and Sea Grape was one of them. Here's a link with some info on the buses ..... http://www.caymanvacations.com/indexmenu.htm?general/bus_service.htm&
