evandbob Posted June 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Hi New to carnival and looking at the conquest in December. Options for balcony cabins on upper , upper empress, veranda empress. Can anyone who knows t he ship advise me on best deck and where to avoid if known. Thanks Upper is deck 6, some cabins are above the casino and where the band plays. Empress is Deck 7, cabins are bracketed by cabins above and below. Verandah is deck 8, some cabins may have Lido chairs above, might hear some scrapping of chair legs as they get moved about. Why not go for Empress Deck 7? You'll be 2 flights down to deck 5 casino and entertainment venues and 2 flights up to Lido and pool deck. Midship is best if prone to motion sickness. Enjoy! RoscoeJames Posted June 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2015 My favorite location is deck 7 in the Aft area balcony. Very quite and close to the adult pool. Recommend port side as it tends to have the best views of the ports - we faced the ports every time on the eastern cruise to Grand Turk, La Dominica, Curaçao and Aruba. snc_cam Posted June 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2015 We book interiors and almost always on Deck 7 (Empress). We also book forward since we had a bad experience with aft. And agree about having the cabins above and below

SMSACE6 Posted June 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2015 I also recommend deck 7. I enjoyed a room (not a balcony) on that deck last year. I loved that floor for quietness, and only a couple of flights of stairs up to lido, or down to promenade.
TerReuv Posted June 4, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2015 Empress deck! Pretty much has cabins below and above - no worries for noise. Also, just a couple of flights up for lido and down for dining. Very convenient.
