shelbymustang Posted June 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I've searched and have been unsuccessful. My question - can you get free lanyards on the Carnival Conquest? I know you can get a hole punched in them, but am unsure if the lanyard is supplied/free. Thanks in advance.

bruadhin Posted June 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2015 The casino use to give out the coiled type that was more designed to attach to your belt or belt loop. I don't know if they still do. Otherwise they are for sale. I believe you get one from the photo shop after buying two pictures. That one is an ok one.
SSFlorida Posted June 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I have not been on the Conquest, but on every Carnival ship that I have been on I was able to get a free lanyard in the casino and have a hole punched in my card. Just drop by the casino on the first day and you will probably see someone handing out the lanyards.
shelbymustang Posted June 3, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted June 3, 2015 Thanks everyone!! I wanted to make sure so I would not misinform our traveling companions. :)
bruadhin Posted June 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2015 You shouldn't need to get your card punched anymore. We sailed on the Breeze on the 23rd and the cards were pre-punched. I also don't recall seeing any of the casino lanyards that they previously used. I saw plenty of the Premier Casino lanyards, but I believe that was mainly for their invited guests. Eileenfa1 Posted June 3, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2015 My card on the breeze April 25. My card was pre punched. When I went to the casino- I asked if they were still giving away free lanyards and they gave us 2.

That would be annoying to hang around your neck. We bought our son one of the typical woven fabric kind in the giftshop. It was about $5 I think? He kept tugging on it so the plastic holder quickly broke. We then just attached it using the pre-punched hole. I don't get the hang up about it. It is a small hole in the corner, much smaller than a typical hole punch.
nwcruiselover Posted June 3, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) I like the ones from the gift shop because the part that holds your S&S card can be detached while you still have the lanyard around your neck. That way you can hand the card to a bartender or gift shop employee while leaving the lanyard itself in place. They have red and blue and they're about $5.00. Personally, I don't want either one. I simply keep my S&S in my pocket and put it in my wallet while in port. My son and wife wanted one, so guess what, we got them lanyards. We bought him one and she used the free one for buying pictures. I do agree with you, if the casino gave out the nicer ones, everyone on the boat would have one and most of them would never gamble. It would be a cost for the casino and lost revenue for the shops. A lose/lose for the ship. I was simply stating my impression based upon seeing other passengers, most are going to want the typical lanyard the shops sell.
