Transport to and from Livorno port needed

I am looking for reliable transport companies to take 8 people from the Livorno port to La Spezia train station when our ship is in Livorno. Then I would need a ride back in the afternoon from La Spezia train station back to Livorno. Just the ride, no tour.

 

I have tried Joe Banana Limo but they have no availability. I did get one company to give me a quote but I can't find much in the way of reviews for them on here or Trip Advisor. They are airports-shuttle.com. The thing is, they want me to pay them after the first leg to La Spezia in the morning. I wouldn't have a huge problem with that if I could find some reviews on them. :confused: Has anyone used this company?

 

If anyone could give me the name of companies that they have successfully used, I would really appreciate it. :D

You could give this company a try-send in a request if it isn't in their stock list. We have used them for different routes than yours, but we had very good service.

I am going to toss out one more idea which could save you a lot of money. If anyone in your group is comfortable driving a large van (mini bus) you can rent one from Sifracar.com for delivery right to your pier. These vehicles hold 9 persons. You can then drive directly from the port to Riomaggiore where there is a paid parking lot/garage and enjoy your day. Sifracar (the local Hertz dealer) will also rent you a GPS and the drive is pretty easy (mostly 4 land superhighways) until you reach La Spezia. From La Spezia to Riomaggiore you would be on a country 2 lane road with more then its share of ups and downs as well as curves.

I have used Papillon Service twice for tours, but they are also the #1 TripAdvisor rated limo service in Livorno. Roberto owns the company and sometimes drives himself. We don't do many tours anymore, but he is one of my favorites of people who do those things and his fleet of vehicles is top notch.
