Rare Keith1010 Posted June 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2015 We were in Monte Carlo a few weeks ago on board Crystal Serenity and had three full days in port which overlapped the Grand Prix. We attended the Grand Prix and for those of you who are in port I would recommend it. While I love sports, I do not follow racing but it was a great opportunity to attend this event. Rare VMax1700 Posted June 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2015 We were on the Zuiderdam, which was in Monaco on the Thursday Practice day. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, although the crowd was a bit thin that day.
Tennant Posted March 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2016 Did the ship actually dock in Monte Carlo during the Grand Prix weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 20, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I don't remember HAL docking. There were two smaller ships docked. One or both were charters. Keith
Tennant Posted March 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2016 Was it difficult to get a tender back and forth to the ship? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 20, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted March 20, 2016 It was easy. While it is more preferable to be docked (we have been to Monte Carlo several times before) it was very easy. The ship as well as all the other ships ran their own tenders and there were many of them. We were there for three days. The night before the Grand Prix many went out and about late as there were a lot of parties in town and at the marina that borders up to a portion of the race route. We didn't do that and just went out and about the day before and there were lots of booths set up and then we went to the race on the day of the Grand Prix.
