bookworm61 Posted June 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Hello, Before I (over)pack for our weeklong cruise from Venice (:D) can anyone advise me as to what toiletries will be in the bathroom of our balcony cabin (not a suite). I am sure there is soap, but I wonder if there is shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. Anything I don't have to pack is a big plus!! Thanks in advance! Whippets Posted June 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Soap is a liquid gel in a dispenser. Shampoo isn't the best. We take our own bar of soap for the shower and bring our own shampoo, conditioner, lotion, Q-tips and cotton balls. A handy hint for travel is to purchase the smaller travel bottles at your local drug store or discount market and fill them with your favorite brands. They are usually found in the aisle where the small toothpaste and other travel size samples are found.

SuiteTraveler Posted June 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Pack normal size shampoo, conditioner and body wash, double wrapped in ziplock bags. Dispose of these containers at the end of the cruise and use your ziplock bags to bring back stuff like olive oil and balsamic vinegar and perfume. Have a lovely honeymoon! NMLady Posted June 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) Thanks so much for this great resource. It will come in very handy! You're welcome. I have been using minimus.biz for years and have been pleased with their wide selection of travel size products. They offer free shipping on $20 in purchases, so it is very easy to get free shipping on an order. Edited June 21, 2015 by NMLady
RMLincoln Posted June 22, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 22, 2015 It's disappointing to see that, in this day of difficulties of packing liquids with limits in carry-on luggage, checked baggage weight limits especially in Europe, that NCL can't provide conditioner, even conditioning shampoo, and hand lotion to counter the drying of hand sanitizer. Oh well, I guess we will try to collect some of these along the way, including from our Holland America Greek Islands/Turkey cruise which is prior to our NCL TA coming back home. Thanks for the heads-up. m--
