I GOT THE EMAIL!!!

April Fooooooools!

I was not expecting an email cause they would have known SOMETHING prior to the last minute whenever I called CR.

I’m pretty much not interested in the CR program anymore, or putting in time to qualify for a free cruise, or free drink stickers (I hardly drink much in the casino anyway)- I now gamble for the quick wins only and leave. If I lose I limit what I lose but if I win a nice amount I QUIT. Last cruise was 11nigbts and I gambled a total of about 3 hours. Won over $1,800 and never went back. Never got a sticker even though I SHOULD have got a sticker on Day 1 since I had over 1,000 points on last cruise. But I didn’t care and never even approached the host since I didn’t even show up in the casino til Day 7 or 8

Got my email today also.

Dear Graham

Thank you for your loyalty to Casino Royale for the past 18 years, we have enjoyed banking the large sums of money you have invested in our CASINO program.

As you know Royal Caribbean really does not care anymore about loyalty or the amount of money you have spent in numerous casinos on many of our fleets ships.

As a token of our gratitude for your loyalty, we are offering you one free drink, an exclusive OLD CR VIP cap and a collectors T-Shirt.

In addition to these wonderful benefits, you will receive a key chain and a $5 match play coupon that is only valid on single deck blackjack.

We have a cabin offer on deck 2 with bunk beds on Empress for a 3 night sailing to nowhere, unfortunately the casino will be closed on that sailing so no free drinks for you.

Your new tier based on the 7 figures you have spent in the casino over the past 18 years sees you at our entry level of SELECT.

We hope you enjoy the great benefits of our basic level which anyone who sets foot in the casino can reach.

Please pass on to your family and friends the good news on this great program which truly rewards loyalty.

We look forward to seeing you on your next cruise so we can personally thank you for your money and loyalty.

Casino Royale.

I just called C&A to see if they could tell us the status even though no emails had been sent. I was told it was supposed to release on the 31st but he has a hunch it will be delayed until tomorrow as the department that sends out the emails does not work on weekends. He also said they do not have the information to tell people what level they are.

Not sure why the casino can’t set up an time delayed email distribution. I know I surely get RCL marketing emails on weekends...

Happy to hear you didn't spend much time in the casino and left with some good winnings.

Sigh ..... They got us again on April Fools Day and we fell for it again !

In an earlier phone call to CR - I was told that they would get the information (points, play, etc) on ALL of our cruises (as opposed to just the last few) several days before 4/1) - I guess not ....

Not even a keychain to show for it all ....

Anyone know what the internet discount will be for the second tier? Asking because of the main boards discussion of D+ internet benefits being changed.

I would hazard a guess from the Tier breakdown posted a while back.

Select would get 40% off 1 device.

Hoping the table that was released improves also.

See you on Adventure in June;)

Just returned from a Blue Chip Club cruise and wanted to update everyone on the new (not improved) club. Example - November 2017 I received a free Suite and $300 knocked off of my bill at the end of the cruise. This cruise - March 2018 - my points were within a 500 point difference from my November cruise and I received a $1000 off any cruise and $14 (yes, only $14) knocked off of my bill. . This is a HUGE difference from my November cruise. I was told they have changed the rules in January 2018 with no notice to the cruise club members. They have also done away with the 4800 points gets you a free cruise. The signs are gone. My point total would have given me a lot more than the 4800 point free cruise. Very disappointing to say the least.

On a side note...I just received an invite for Holland America whom I have never sailed with for a casino rate - 7 day suite for $500 a person or a 14 day suite for $800 a person.

Not only was The Blu Chip offer a slap in the face....I did not see one person the entire week win a big payout nor did anyone I spoke to (and I asked as many people as I could) see one big payout. Not happy with the new machines.

I do hope your new Club Royale is better than Celebrity's Blue Chip Club.

That’s funny but it doesn’t feel far from the truth.

I think they decided they no longer need to give too much away to us since they probably assume that most people will continue to gamble regardless and the loss of a few larger players like us will not offset the llittle they are now giving to many more “members”.

Thanks for the info. How do you reckon HAL obtained your details in order to offer you that cruise? 😀

I have no idea. We do get other offers (Princess has sent a small casino discount) but this is a first for such a huge discount from another line.

I posted something similar a couple of weeks ago. Was on a Celebrity cruise in early March and was told they are only giving dollars per day off on a future cruise no more free cruises and no idea how they base the dollars off. I was given $160 per day off on a future cruise. In November I had a free balcony for 2. Not even close to the same value.

They're going to lose a lot of customers!

Sadly, it also hurts the casino host and casino staff by losing out on the large tips.

Sounds like typical RC Casino Royale response.

I had to call Casino Royale last night and figured while I had them on the phone I would ask about the new tiers and when the emails would be sent out. We are going on Brilliance of The Seas on Thursday, on a Transatlantic. I was told that most guests would more than likely be Prime. He also said the host SHOULD know we are going to be onboard but I better go and see them ASAP so I can receive all of the perks we are entitled to. He indicated that emails SHOULD be sent out this week and they don't have any information right now because it all comes from the "higher ups" in the Casino. So, still no further ahead.

“Most” guests being Prime is probably right since everyone who has gambled in the last year is a “Club Royale” member.

My dad got the MLB free tickets offer with a $750 off deal in an email I got today (they use my email). He hasn’t gambled or cruises in over a year and he STILL gets all these offers I DONT get, and I’ve been on over 30 cruises since then and I consider myself a moderate gambler. This doesn’t show me they value their most loyal guests. Rather, they already figure im going to cruise and gamble without offers. Too bad.

I would consider it a miracle if they actually send out an email or roll out the new program.

Have you called and asked why YOU have not received the MLB offer?
