I called on Sunday to book my 2020 tier cruise for a March 2021 sailing and got through in about 5 minutes.  That's the good news.  The call took an hour and 24 minutes as the coding for the comps was not being accepted by "the system".  The rep had to contact a supervisor who was also working from home.  Between her on hold and the supervisor on hold, she made four different calls before the booking was approved and accepted by the reservation system.  Part of the delay may also have been that I upgraded my cabin as part of the booking process. At least the call didn't drop and I had a good connection with a good rep.  Tonight I had to call to change the stateroom as we are sailing with friends and we adjusted our cabin to be near them.  That call went right through and the rep had it done in under 4 minutes which is normal for just a same class cabin change.

Another strange thing that I was told was while I am an agent, they couldn't put the reservation through the agency I am affiliated with.  They said this was a recent change to Casino Royale tier cruise bookings and in the place of the old method where the agency owned the reservation and got regular commission on any commissionable fare, they have gone to a flat commission.  Of course the rep couldn't explain how that will work and there was no reference to my agency or agency number that RCL used to track their bookings for TA's.  I'll be contacting our agency's RCL rep to sort this out as we never were informed of any changes to the booking or commission procedures for casino comped or $ off cruises.  Something new every day!

All very interesting. I have 3 questions as I have had nothing but trouble even getting a good call. Which call center did you get ? Time of day, and state you called from ?

I did the redeem feature for my first time. No place to enter requests. A surprise, I got a reply Sunday at 9:37 PM CDT from Miguel Sanchez. No proof yet, but could be not USA. I have noticed a few others during this May mess that look out of USA. I made a reply, and before 10 PM got another email. I guess working from home you can have any hours.

I got a call Saturday from a rep in Oregon, working from home. A perfect call quality wise. My first one of those since mid-April.

My mom just got a free interior offer.  She is Choice. She has sailed on RCL 3 times, once a couple years ago on Liberty, Freedom in Nov 2019 and Anthem in March 2020.  She might get 400-500 pts a cruise

That is indeed new...please let us know what you found out.  If they don't have your agency, not sure they will pay commission on the booking.

I emailed casino royal & asked to get email offers, which we have never gotten. We used to get regular mail offers, but not since Jan, &  nothing on the my offers site, except for the free annual 2020. (Told them, I dont like that site, as there's no info about the offers.) I am Masters

My sister is Prime & just got 2 different offers of free jr suite & $500 casino cash of almost any cruise in Dec thru Feb21. She gets many emails. This is their reply:

___________ "The best way to ensure you receive offers and promotions is to make sure your crown and anchor account is up to date, and that you have just one account (not multiples), and no other guest also uses your email address. I see that your email address is shared by another guest which has been suppressing your offers.  In the meantime, I have requested to have you qualified for all current offers which should be available to reserve later today."_______________

So my wife is SUPPRESSING my email offers!!!!

My wife & I share our email address, & go on all the cruises together, & she doesnt play in the casino. I replied to them, that all is up to date & am not changing our email!!!! Will see what they say.

Heard back below.  So my wife called crown & anchor, & changed to another email address she had.

_____ "In order to respect the privacy of our players, Club Royale now requires that all of our players have a unique email not shared by any other guest as a prerequisite to have offers automatically generated.  This avoids others receiving email offers that belong to another player."________

Not sure which call center I got but I called on Sunday afternoon about 3 PM EDT.  I called Monday evening at 630 PM EDT and was on the phone 3 minutes.  On Sunday I spoke with a woman with a light Caribbean or Filipino accent but the call was clear.  The rep I spoke with briefly on Monday evening was definitely an American.  I am calling from Ohio.

Interesting.  Miguel is listed as my host and he did not respond to my emails to him about an upgrade on the a cruise over labor day.  I'll try him again.

I agree.  No agency reference and no commission.  I'll post when I get a response.

Manila and quality of calls. I have had 2 calls answered by Manila. Feb 5 was the first and a booking was made. No problem although I thought strange that I got a 5 digit booking number, but it is good.

My other call with Manila was late last week. Again a good quality call. Any others to CR have been bad, except guest services I assumed answered in Miami area.

I do not know where my calls have been answered from but from what I was told by the last two reps I spoke with (neither of which had any noticeable accents) all of the booking reps (including Club Royale) are working from home.  There was some minor call quality issues in both which I chalked up to them talking over a VOIP line.

Hi. I have 3 offers in my account and wondered if someone had information on them. The first I will not put as it is my obvious tier level cruise.

2020 NOV-FEB 2021 SAILINGS (20VAR1) JUNIOR SUITE + $250 FREEPLAY

2020 HIGH VALUE HOLIDAY SAILINGS OFFER (20HOL1) BALCONY + $250 FREEPLAY

Anyone know if these are on any sailings? Thanks

Can you tell me if you had any of your cruises cancelled because of the virus?  Trying to figure out why the wife and I have stopped getting offers.

thank you.

Nope I saw it coming and did not make any reservations. I went to https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/ to look at them. I have not gotten any mail or emails in a few months now and I used to get 2 mailings a week.

As for mailed offers. Same here, none since March. I did get my canceled cruise straightened out. CR Oregon phoned me, and it was a 100% good call.

Good to hear that you got it sorted out with a call back.

2. Lift and Shift: If you prefer to move your existing booking to a 2021 sailing – we’re happy to move you! We will price protect the original pricing and/or promotion on the same itinerary, length, product, and stateroom category as your original sailing within 4 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date in 2021.

Did I read PROMOTION ? With most casino offers. If you cancel that is it. I did not cancel, and I see the word promotion. Still waiting to hear from Club Royale.

Well I am glad I called CR today.

Had lifted and shifted a casino cruise for this July to next July (per their one year stipulation when I lifted and shifted) but after multiple calls could not get a corrected invoice. Helpful CR rep I spoke to said l&s for casino cruises is different rules and that we can only l&s up to February.

Managed to rebook thankfully but unbelievable that even within themselves they have agents l&s to invalid dates hence leaving outstanding balances as they won’t price protect after February.

If if you did a casino l&s please check your invoice matches what your original booking showed or you may have issues. We struggled to find a same cabin same itinerary available.

That's interesting.  I didn't think they were allowing casino comp cruises to be L&S'ed at all.  So you can L&S a casino comp cruise but only through Feb. 2021 ?  Obviously that would violate their 1 year +/- 4 weeks rule.

I was told no, period by the southern call centers CR. However that was not totally true. CR did a replacement offer good through Feb, 21. It had an early June expiration/booking date. If I had not raised some stink, (emails and letters to MIami) and finally got Oregon CR to call me. I would not have gotten much done.

Only allowing L&S on cruises that were cancelled in latest phase ie cruises saying on/after June 12th.

got nowhere trying with my April/May sailings - they fully cancelled those, but allowed my July sailing to be lifted and shifted.

I argued that the l&s rules were one year as when I originally called in the CR rep was the one that told me had to be within a 4 week time frame of original sail date, and she moved it. After almost 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve and the new rep and original rep going back and forwards I agreed to move within the feb time frame as they were now refusing to honor the date they moved us to.

Luckily managed to find a cruise that worked as DD starts college and with holidays blocked out, trying to find a cruise that fitted in with her schedule was not the easiest!

very grateful to move, but it is frustrating they couldn’t get it right the first time round. Luckily a competitor that I’m also trying to l&s hadn’t finalized moving that cruise so I’m flipping them round for her to travel with us.

All l&s’s have to be done by the 10th of this month.

Tonight - another rep - another but better answer.

This evening I called Casino Royale to book my wife's annual tier cruise.  I got through in about 3 or 4 minutes.  We booked the week after tier cruise that I booked last week.  This time the rep checked and said, yes, give my your agency number so that you will receive a flat commission.  Later, I asked him about the cruise I booked the prior week (my annual tier cruise) and he checked and said to complete the Agency transfer form and the booking would be switched to my agency so that I could control and modify as needed (except for fare adjustments/cabin changes with price change) and that I would receive the flat commission.  He emailed my the Agent confirmation and it shows regular commission.  Perhaps it is because I upgraded the cabin and there was actually a small payment for cabin fare for the upgrade.  I am still waiting on the "official" word on just how Casino cruises are handled with TA's.  I'll post another update if and when I get any further information.
