Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

I thought I heard Celebrity's players club is really good and now that they're casinos have all gone to non smoking that is a plus for us. One day I need to get back on Celebrity. I also saw that their roulette wells (on select voyages) are the European wheels. :)

Nick, I see that Marc did respond to you, thank you Marc.

I agree with Marc in that membership will be available to more and more people in the future and feel our offers will still depend on our level of play.

I still can not comprehend why some of us """still""" do not get CR emails even though they have the correct email address. I don't even get any RCI emails and we take quite a few cruises with them each year. We do get Celebrity's weekly emails and our last cruise with them was about 3 years ago.

I have talked with club royale multiple times about this email thing. On Friday, we "might" have actually figured It out. The emails don't come from Club Royale, They come from the Royale Caribbean corporate side... In my online preferences I have "I do not want to receive offers about specials" checked. Basically I did not want to get a bunch of RCCL junk mail. BUT we are thinking that , that might actually be why I don't get them. I un checked it and I will see what happens now.

I called CR today to make a payment and I was on hold a record 45 minutes before I was connected to anyone. Last 3 times I called I waited 30-35 minutes.

The wait times are getting crazy. I tried 3x unsuccessfully on Friday. On the first call I gave up after 48 minutes on hold. The second calls were 16 and 18 mins each. I had to hang up on because I was at work and had to answer other calls. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 5-10 minutes before when I've called in the past.

Today I got through after about 38 mins. Got another slight decrease in the price via the lowered casino rate. I booked this cruise, 11/30/15 Anthem, back in May of 2014 and so far the price has come down about 19%.

I'm looking at the roll call posts but I've not signed up for anything.

I finally got the email about the 2015 discounted Anthem sailings. A week later than everyone else it seems and after I'd already called in. I suppose I should just be happy that I'm getting the emails at all.

I'm incensed that some people who are not even club Royale members and admit to only spending $40-50 in casino are getting multiple free cruise offers or high percent off offers on RCCL cruises! That pissss me off cause I've only gotten ONE free cruise and I spend thousands (or at least hundreds) every time and I cruise 7 x a year or more! Who's getting the rewards here?

Nick,

RCI is trying to fill those empty cabins on board with bodies. Don't let it get to you, think of the money you are saving not going on those free cruises, that's how I look at it. And we do know there're not free.

Nick, I agree with you. Though we have only cruised 3 (soon to be 4) times on RCI, been a CR member since first cruise. I feel those of you that have been long time members should get the better deals. I have only recently started getting the offers from CR.

Just received the postal mail version of that discounted anthem 2015 sailings email.

If they're going to mail something that's "3D" they should at least make that ace that you can remove some sort of free play coupon. A free $50 bet valid only on 2015 Anthem sailings or something.

Not sure if this is helpful for anyone else. It seems like they're offering me the beach bash for every cruise except the one I'm actually booked on. I want to go to the one for my cruise but I can't get an invite for that one...

For those that are sailing soon or in the next month or two, the casino is giving out Cruise Certificate again. Returned yesterday from Liberty of the Seas and received a Cruise Certificate which indicated two offers:

Sailing must be booked within 30 days for a free balcony on selected ships and sail by 10/31/15. They're mostly for 3,4 & 7 night sailings on Enchantment, Freedom, Adventure or Jewel.

Or, can be traded in for *any* cruise of your choice with the value of $1000 to sail by 10/31/15.

Club Royale said today they would extend the $1000 offer to sail by 12/31/15.

Also, W2's are now being issued by the casino for jackpot winnings of $1200 and more.

What's your opinion of the usefulness/value of this offer for you?

When I received it in March, I was very disappointed because I generally can't book a cruise that quickly, so my certificate went unused.

I had also read someone claim that if you use the certificate, you don't get your rebate. I didn't see confirmation of that, though.

Yes, you do forfeit your casino rebate if you use the Cruise Certificate offer, sorry I forgot to mention that in my previous post.

Since CR said yesterday the $1000 off can be used towards *any* ship and sail date for 2015, I feel it's a good deal for us as we live close to the port of Bayonne. I was previously offered 20% and then a 10% discount on 11/30/15 Anthem sailings and now the $1000 off, plus casino rates, this offer would be a better deal. Very surprised the Certificate can be use for 2015 Anthem sailings. I just put a Courtesy Hold on a sailing, called the D+ number and they extended the Hold for me so I'll be able to speak to CR on Monday.

As far as the free balcony offers on the Cruise Certificate, the 3 & 4 night sailings out of Port Canaveral would not be worth it to me as we would have to purchase air, transportation & hotel. The offer would be good for those living in Florida, or within driving distance to Port Canaveral and if your getting a low casino rebate.

My certificate in March also went unused as whatever ship or sail dates listed back then just didn't interest me. It appears this new Cruise Certificate for a free cruise had sail dates that started back in June and go through the end of October. There are many 7 night Freedom cruises remaining on this offer and if I would have received the offer months ago, I possibly would have booked a Freedom sailing in September and added a few nights in Orlando.

If anyone is interested in 2015 Anthem sailings and did not receive the Cruise Certificate yet or any other offers, I would still call CR and see if they'll discount a cruise for you on 2015 Anthem sailings, if your interested. I'm also going to post a picture of the cruises offered on the Certificate if others are interested in those sail dates, maybe CR will also discount those who have not received one.
