Dietemann Posted June 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Does purchase of a FCD on board count toward the $300/day credit toward Mariner status?
clogaltocruise Posted June 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2015 No. Those are transacted separately. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

DaveOKC Posted June 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2015 And you cannot charge it to your cabin. Must use a credit card.
sail7seas Posted June 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2015 If you have given the ship a credit card to secure your on board account, the FCC can access that number (if you wish) and enter a charge directly to your credit card for you. If you buy FCD's by sending a note or phone, you don't have to bother going to meet with him/her if you don't wish.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2015 There was a time when the FCC would ask for your credit card. But the last several years, now they just look it up and charge your FCD's to your credit card. Saves a lot of work for everyone.

We purchased a Future Cruise Deposit on the Westerdam in April 2015, something we often do on each cruise. The Future Cruise Consultant asked us whether we wanted to use the CC we had on file or if we had another card we wished to use. It's likely more a matter of how customer oriented the FCC is. We've met a couple of FCCs on board who we wouldn't purchase a stick of gum from let alone a FCD.
