1stime88 Posted June 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) What is the best option for cave tubing in Belize. There are several options through royal caribbean. What about ziplining and west bay with victor bodden in honduras? Will we make it back in time? Is the ziplining scary? Is it slow or fast? k9_Cop Posted June 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2015 Love zip lining. Some sections of it are fast, not scary at all (at least for my wife and me)
Rare Banditswife Posted June 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2015 What is the best option for cave tubing in Belize. There are several options through royal caribbean. What about ziplining and west bay with victor bodden in honduras? Will we make it back in time? Is the ziplining scary? Is it slow or fast? We have done cave tubing in Belize w/ "cavetubingrus"- had a great time on our tour. most private tour operators are good about getting you back to the port in time for your ship. read revues & decide for yourself whether to use the ship's tour or a private tour. We have also used Victor Bodden in Isla Roatan, Honduras. His company comes highly recommended & does not disappoint. We did his zip lines & Tabriana Beach combo tour a couple of years ago- loved it. We are older (50-60 yrs old,) & found it a lot of fun. Some zips are a bit scary, but fun. Some are fast, some slower. Yes, his tour operators got us back to the ship in plenty of time to explore the port area. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise, have a great time. AnchorsAweigh2011 Posted June 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2015 We went cave tubing with Vitalino Reyes in Belize and would recommend his company. It’s an excellent excursion and we had an amazing time!
gerryl12 Posted June 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) In Belize we cave tubed and zip lined with Butts up .. cavetubing dot com . Check them on trip advisor. We have used them a couple of times and they are great. Last time we were two hours late getting the tender to shore (NCL scew-up) but they were still gathering the stragglers. They are hugely organized and have a good zip-line with two new lines. They are way less expensive than the cruise line. Zip lining is fun as long as you are not terrified of heights. I 70 went with my 13 yr old granddaughter. Edited June 25, 2015 by gerryl12
bethco Posted June 26, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2015 South Shore Zip Line is much better in Roatan. If you have a zip newbie who is a bit reticent like I was, Victor Bodden is a good one to do but South shore is much better. The friend I was with was bit disappointed in Victor Bodden zip but she had been on several zip lines before and I had not.
_RaveN_ Posted June 26, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 26, 2015 I second Butt's Up for cave tubing. We had a great time and a great guide when we were there in December. Comfy tubes and we floated all the way back to the entrance instead of hiking back like a lot of the ship tours did.
