mariamtzj Posted June 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Any suggestions on what to do here. The only interesting thing I found was teh Rockland Breakwater Light. Thanks
chengkp75 Posted June 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2015 There is the Owl's Head Transportation Museum with vintage autos and planes a few miles down the road. Between Rockland, Rockport, and Camden (about 8 miles), there are more windjammers than anywhere else in the country. There are a lot of day cruises, some with lunch, etc. Google "day sailing Camden, Maine" or "Maine Windjammers".
mainepaddler Posted July 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Rockland has a lot of cute little shops and restaurants. You can easily make a day of walking the breakwater and then poking around the main street. The Farnsworth Art Museum is very nice as well.
