Bases5 Posted June 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2015 4 girls Both ideas are basically the same price. 1: Grand Suite, 2 beds and a double sleeper sofa. 2 Connecting Balcony 4 beds & 2 baths and we can have the balcolny divider removed. Seems like a no brainier to me. Am I missing something with the Grand Suite? Which way would you go?
BTromboneFrack Posted June 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2015 We stayed in a grand suite, but it was an EXTENDED BALCONY grand suite. There is a difference. Check out which one you will have. If its just a regular grand suite, I think you would like the larger balcony space you would get with two rooms. Besides, you'll get twice as much ice on your counter every evening. Unfortunately, you'll pay more in tips.
MrsPhoenix91 Posted July 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2015 We also booked a GS w/Extended Balcony on our cruise from 2 months ago on the Ecstasy. What a world of difference :)
craftykitty Posted July 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2015 You pay tips for 4 people regardless and that second bathroom will be a godsend!
Cruise-Crazy Posted July 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I would go with the connecting balcony cabins for the extra bathroom.
k2excursion Posted July 9, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) Go with the 2 rooms. The amount of space you get will basically be the same either way, but with 2 rooms, you have 2 bathrooms and all 4 people have a standard bed. That double pull-out sofa isn't as comfortable as the single non-pull-out sofabeds that are on the larger ships, from what I hear. The only benefit I would see with the GS would be priority check-in, but you get that if you're platinum anyway.
