karl_nj Posted July 15, 2015 #30 Share Posted July 15, 2015 I wouldn't want to see these new cabins added, but then no-one is likely to listen to my opinion! (least of all, bean-counters). They can be added relatively easily (as with QE2, add a prefabricated block on top). Sweep away the two sports courts either side of the A lifts and stairs (put them behind the turbine machinery room on deck 12? Bit of a squeeze when the Boardwalk Cafe is open of course, but not impossible). Get rid of the almost-never-open Regatta Bar, and the 1 inch deep "Splash Pool". They just announced that it's 30 new Britannia Club cabins, and 15 singles. Perhaps they will start from Stair B, and move forward? Based on counting the cabins on deck 12, then they could keep the sports courts, the useless splash pool, and the Regatta Bar. They would have to extend the stairs/elevator up one level, to reach the new deck 13. The cabins would also end up being a bit more midship, letting them classify almost all of them them as midship cabins so they can charge more. I get "Page Not Found" when I follow the link mentioned on facebook and twitter. But when I redirect to Cunard's UK web site (cunard.co.uk), the announcement is there.
